I understand what snipeing is on ebay but my question is can a person set the snipeing to bid whatever it takes to win. In otherwords they do not set an exact number but the snipeing with a few seconds to go automaticly places what will be the winning bid.

Gary...I think the only way you can do that on "Auction Sniper"...is to set your limit at a price you know won't be outbid...for example...10 million dollars...and if it got bid up to $355 for example...your bid would raise in whatever increment it took to win...I don't recommend it...^&grin...

What have this to do with e-bay

Re: Ebay Sniping question

Yeah, I'm an eBay sniper, too, and it's the autobid with a high cap that beats me. If I get beat in that scenario, then I take satisfaction from the fact that I made him pay for it.

I wind up sniping, because I don't like bidding early, like on the first day of a 5-day auction. It tends to drive the bids up. Great for the seller, but as a collector, I want to pay as little as possible. So, I stake it out in the last 10 minutes or so, and watch.

Prost!
