K&C/JJD Renault FT "head to head"comparison (1 Viewer)

Know what you saying Pete. Never thought I would be collecting WW1 and not the French component either. If they were a fighting series doubt whether I would be in as I prefer these more relaxed styles John does, or as I call them 'at rest'. Now I am worried about the next K&C release due in a couple of days, shaping up to a huge March:eek:, Robin.

Pete...

that is a very...very...very cool grouping!!!

Thanks Mike! Hope you're well?? Haven't heard from you lately...hope your golf handicap is coming down?

I'm well behind with the FIW....If only WW1 hadn't happened!

I think the Poilu's are superb!

Hi Robin,
Nor me, I know exactly where you're coming from....I think the 'behind the lines' take on the subject offers a whole new dimension to the subject. Unfortunately (or fortunately), the K&C Poilu's don't match the JJD scalewise, so, as I started collecting JJD first, I'm tied to these....

Pete...my golf game sucks...I have my occasional birdie here and there...and a few pars every round...and then I have my blow up holes...I'll never be anything but a hacker...but I love those rare perfect shots...so I'll keep hacking away...

I got a question...

does...or will...

only fit in the...
GWF-02 Saint-Chamond Tank, Early Version, 1st Battery, AS 31 Teddy

or can...
GWF-02A St. Chamond Tank commander Early Version...
also fit in the...
GWF-06, Saint-Chamond Tank, Late Version also?

Hi Mike,
So I guess we won't be seeing you in the next Ryder cup then?
In answer to your question...Nope. The late version doesn't have any opening hatches. He does however fit into the GWF-01 Sneider.

Hi Mike,
As Robin say's TG045. They do blend in well.

Going back to the Renaults, just worked out that the three JJD versions released so far plus crew, would come to £486 in total{eek3}. Add in the K&C version and it would come to £622.......Just can't justify that cost in one go. If they stick around for a long while I might be able to get them one by one, but that is a big assumption (that they will be around for a while). Made even worse when the next 'big thing' is released. Just have to get resigned to the fact that I may never get up to date with these now.

Pete, I am in the exact same boat you are in. The fantastic amount of choice being made available to collectors, at such a rapid rate, has swamped my ability to 'keep up'. Even restricting my collecting to one series (French WW1) and one manufacturer (JJD) has not helped. I do my best on a shrinking TS budget, but the stuff I want has rapidly moved beyond my budget's ability to keep even with the monthly releases. I still haven't managed to get a Renault and know the 75 gun is coming out. I must say, as rough as it is to keep up with releases, it is much better than not having anything made in my area of interest, as was the case until relatively recently. I am simply spoiled with outstanding choices. I also hope those Renaults stay available for quite a while.:wink2: -- Al
