I think the seller owes me a beer lol. Originally the ebay auction was BIN at 299.99 and bidding at 229.99. I waited to the last day of the auction to place a bid thus removing the BIN option. In the last minute 3 bidders got into a bidding war not only did they go over the original figarti price but the seller's original BIN option too...

I owe you a beer then! Wish you had prevailed but thanks for helping me out!

that's really kind of funny...

so both high bidders could have purchased it with a "buy now" of $299...

which was cheaper than they ending up bidding for the price of $350...

but didn't...

"he who hesitates...is lost"

I've seen that happen, and sometimes, I've done that myself. The e-adrenaline starts flowing, and a buyer says to himself, "He's not going to beat me, dammit!"

The same kind of thing can happen at live auctions, too, though.

Prost!

Never underestimate what happens on eBay. Look at the 4-digit opening prices for sets that should open at 3-digits. Then crazies who get caught up in the bidding and go way over what they should pay for an item. But the, of course, all of us have probably gone a bit over what we should have. Guess it's just general nature . . . and it's making eBay rich! Whoever started this site has a good read on human nature . . . and has probably become wealthy!
