2015 Texas Toy Soldier Show
Saturday Night Dinner Symposium

Tickets are $69 each

The Dinner Symposium is held in the beautiful Minuet Room of the historic Menger Hotel featuring a delicious Mexican food buffet.

Special Guest Speakers include

Capt. Dale Dye (USMC, Ret'd)
Vietnam Veteran, Hollywood's premier military adviser & author

Capt Dye has worked on many of our favorite movies and shows including:
Saving Private Ryan, Platoon, Band of Brothers and The Pacific just to name a few!

Daniel Martinez
Chief Historian of the WWII Valor in the Pacific National Monument in Honolulu, Hawaii
Daniel has also worked with the National Parks Service at the Little Big Horn battle field
as well as hosted the Discovery channel's Unsolved History and over 50 documentaries

Capt Dye and Mr. Martinez will be discussing war movies and the military with us.
This event is not to be missed! Seating is very limited and tickets are going fast!

All attendees of the Symposium will receive a complimentary Kings X Exclusive Figure of "Captured Hitler"
As history tells us Hitler died in the ruins of Berlin, but...what if he had tried to escape and been caught by the Russians?
This figure is the answer to that question!

Please e-mail or call if you are interested in buying your tickets for the Saturday Night Symposium dinner
amber@kingsx.com or (210) 226-7000
Your tickets will be available for you to pick up at Kings X or mailed out to you the first week of May

The Menger Hotel is offering a great room rate of $99. per night excluding breakfast and parking.
Breakfast can be added for $17 and parking for $20. As the incredibly delicious Menger breakfast buffet doubles as lunch, the price is great!
Parking at $20 is a steal for a holiday weekend downtown as well as the convenience of valet and being able to come and go as many times as you wish.
Call (210) 223-4361 to make your reservations and mention you'd like the "Texas Toy Soldier Show" rate! If you should have any issues, please contact Amber Garcia at Kings X.

If you are planning to enjoy breakfast in the Colonial Dinning Room during your stay, reservations well in advance of your check in are a must!
The restaurant will be very busy during Memorial Day weekend so as to avoid the disappointment of not being able to partake of those mountains of bacon
and delicious fresh coffee in the Menger's Colonial Dinning Room call (210) 225-6196 to make your reservations.

Any more questions about the Texas Toy Soldier Show?
Please call (210)226-7000 or e-mail amber@kingsx.com

I would love to be there. I will have to get down there one of these years. I know that Captured Hitler set will be highly desired.

The nephew and I are looking forward to the show, the Alamo and a boat ride on the river.

The nephew and I are looking forward to the show, the Alamo and a boat ride on the river.

the boat ride is kind of cool...about 30 minutes long...educational on the River, San Antonio and surrounding landmarks...

the Alamo...definitely a must see at least once in your life...but once you have seen it...there's no need to go back...it never changes...^&grin..very convenient though as it is a 2 minute walk from the KingsX Show...

expect long lines at the Alamo...

and expect extremely long lines at the boat ride...maybe an hour wait...we did it at night 2 years ago...the line was several hundred deep...but they have several boats ferrying at the same time...so it moves steady...maybe the lines are not as long in the daytime...

to just walk along the River is nice...especially at night...some great BBQ and Mexican cuisine...

if you get a chance...go to the Briscoe Museum...5 blocks from the Menger...they have a fantastic Alamo display done by King & Country...and a lot of American Western History exhibits...

Phil Collins (the singer) has a huge Alamo display across the street from the Alamo...the entire compound is done in scale...with a narrator and light show...

and of course...don't forget...Andy's KingsX K&C Toy Soldier Shop is located in the Menger lobby...definitely a must see...save some money for that visit...it's very enticing...

hope I see you there...

Symposium ticket purchased and two night stay reserved. Had a great time last year and look forward to this coming event as well. Ill be adding to my, now, year and a half old collection. I'll bring an armload of the new toy soldier book if any are interested. Hope to meet some of you guys.

All,

A couple of things:

-Brad, I will throw in the second drink after Mike Millers!

-I love the boat ride as I learn something new every time I go. But, yes the line sucks. This time I want to explore the newer part of the River Walk.

-The enchiladas rock at the dinner symposium!

-I have not been to the Briscoe and will do so this year.

-It has rained every Friday through Saturday morning for the last three years. But sunshine and hot after that!

-My niece is the Catering Director for Landry's on the Riverwalk. We went there for the Fiesta River Parade this week and oh my god it was good! I think I will go there for dinner on Friday after the meet and greet...anyone want to go?
