2007 Collection Supplement (1 Viewer)

Joachim, you must agree that Santa's helpers at WBrtian have worked very hard to issure we have a nice Christmas and look at what we've got coming at for the new year.....The Lt.

I agree completely. I'd better start some fundraising as I still intend to collect both series. I mean, look at the fellow standing at attention. Just perfect.

Anyone seen a price and availability for the elephant? These blokes are trying very hard to get me money!

Hi Guys

The Elephant is RRP 94.99 pounds sterling and scheduled for release in the UK in December, hope this helps and no doubt Richard will chime in with the US RRP at some point.

Cheers
Mark

Ken or any other Zulu buffs out there.
Where did teh 24 th regiment of foot celebrate Christmas 1878. Was it Pietermaritzburg or Helpmekaar?
Regards
Damian

Sorry I missed the question here...I answered it on another forum.
By the middle of December the No.3 column had assembled at Helpmekaar. There were only two small stone houses here and the Army set up an emcampment in the clear areas ajacent to the border road that went South to Greytown and continued South to Pietermaritzburg. In addition to the tents there were also three wood buildings with tin roofs sent by the army to protect the supplies. Heavy rains soon turned the encampment into a muddy quagmire a a few officers fled the discomfort and returned to Pietermaitzburg where the headquarters was located to celebrate Christmas. They returned in the last week of December and by New Year Day the column was breaking camp and heading toward Rorke's Drift. By January 5th they were encamped at this location waiting to cross the Mzinyathi River on January 11...Starting the War.
I felt that the Pietermaritzburg location would be a more interesting to model for the Christmas set than a muddy tent. I hope you agree!
All the best, Ken Osen

Ken
It is a great modle and I have ordered it. I agree with PMB as the location. PMB has grown quite a bit since 1879 but I think Helpmekaar is not much bigger at all.

Damian

The new models are posted on the WB site. $120,- for the elephant is a excellent price.

Can any one tell me if there was any WW2 items with this collection supplement
regards
Andrew

Hi Andrew! There are no new WWII sculpts included in this catalog. The first supplement in 2008 will show additions to the WII range that will work well with the existing figure sets...
Ken

Thanks Ken - my wife will be pleased - It will also give me a chance to catch up on outstanding models. Must say well done to the Britains team, it is only with very strong will power that i am not drawn into collecting other exciting ranges that you guys are producing.
Keep up the good work.
Andrew
