Added a neck and right hand to this figure. Worked on developing the musculature of a taller man.

For the Mpande figure, I coated the cowtails with white glue and then sprinkled with a very short synthetic fur. This was done also for the shield. The fur was carefully worked into the cowtails.

Completed the painting of the figure. I carefully touched in the shield trimmings and added shadows and highlights to the figure.

You should be very happy with him...quite a bit of effort went into this, with the result being very close to the painting.

Nice to see the detail as you proceeded through the project.

Thank you for sharing your work on this excellent figure.

Hello Matt,

I am very pleased with this piece. I've used mixed 1/32 and 1/24 scales parts. First time I've experimented with the short fur technique, too. Also, I have pushed further the limits on sculpting a fat figure. It's a learning process all the way.

Now developing the Shaka figure. The head was slightly enlarged and cowtails are being added.

Finished the ceremonial garb. Quite a lot of putty was used. Now to work on the head and hands.

Added some short fur with white glue to the monkey tails. Starting to paint the figure.

I mounted the piece onto a nice base and am awaiting the addition of a nameplate.
