whispering death - beaufighters in Burma (1 Viewer)

Wow Kevin, another book I'm going to have to order. The Burma Campaign and Beaufighters, for me a double whammy!

Thanks for the posts especially the youtube videos. I was just looking through the Osprey Beaufighter ACES book. Now, I have found yet another Beau book to read thanks to you guys. However, I have a confession-the de Havilland Mosquito is by far my favorite aircraft with the Beau finishing second. The actual prototype for the Mossie still exists over in the UK. I spent a few hours sitting in it & photographing it whilst pondering the men who had previously sat in the same seat. As I understand it, it is the ONLY existing prototype in existence from WW II. Two years back at Duxford, I saw a beautiful Beaufighter that was being restored & would imagine that it is close to being finished. Lovely works of art they are!

Thanks,
Beaufighter aka dh98 Lover

Welcome. There are too many superb aircraft to favour but the beau and mossie are right up there with the spit, hurri and tiffie.
