Ok first this is not a want or please can you make list.I just would be interested to hear what you guys think maybe coming next year.I REPEAT NOT A WANT LIST!!!

Ok,i think one of the Major releases could be some 8th Army armour. Its a logical step as there seems to be a big gap in that area.We will also i guess see another wave of the FJ's.I'm also wondering if there maybe something to replace the two 'On the Beach' figure sets that are being retired, after all compared to other sets they are not very old. What do you reckon chaps?.

Hocus pocus, tongue of newt and eye of toad, what's this I see as I consult the bones - why, its an EA Crusader MkIII Tank and a Matilda MK1 Tankette.

Another set of retirements has been the ordinary German footsloggers,i wonder if they maybe replaced?.

Blah blah blah WWII...Blah blah blah Afrika Korps...Blah blah blah Nucular Bomb! Blah blah blahdy blah blah blah the Grandmas Bulge. If I hear anymore about WWII, I'm gonna take my 56 pesos per month defence budget and go play in some other sandpit..

So listen up guys, this is whats really going to happen in 2008:

Jan 2008 - I win $20,000,000 Powerball and place order with K&C Hong Kong for all the Naps they have.
Feb 2008 - I visit K&C Hong Kong and complain bitterly that they are holding out on me and demand they sell me the remainder of their Naps. They observe that I am not messing around and acquiese (give in).
Mar 2008 - Following my flash flood visit to head office and my artificial inflating of the global demand for K&C Naps - Andy finaly sees the error of his waysin following blindly the WWII path and self corrects the market by releasing 6 (yes yes hurried but necessary) Austrian Infantry sets.
Apr 2008 - Following on from the soldout Austrian Naps he releases Prussian Infantry Naps (pretty good they are too!)
May 2008 - All Prussians sold out and a month off to source 3 new factories on the mainland just to produce Naps!! (OMG!!!! the success of it all)
June 2008 - Yaaahooo!! K&C finally releases the much requested and sought after Polish Lancers!!
July 2008 - Followed by the Red Dutch Lancers (Oh joyous day)
Aug 2008 - K&C takes a breather and a chance for his factories to source more pewter to make almost soley Naps.
Sept 2008 - Brunswicker 'Deaths Head" Leib infantry Naps released (he could no longer wait for anyone else to produce them..)
Oct 2008 - French Carabiniers!! An early Christmas!!!! Thank you Andy
Nov 2008 - French Guard Artillery - Boootiful - move over Britains!!
Dec 2008 - Naps sold out!!! Whaa..?? How can it be? Oh well maybe enough time to squeeze another tiger out before Christmas Day coswe haven't had one of those in a while.

Jan 2009 - Andy retires a veeeery wealthy and contented man having appointed me to oversee another year of Naps production from K&C Head Office in HongKong.

The End. :D

yup , more blitzkreig footsloggers would be welcome , those guys with the yellow stripe on the helmet are the business, and of course the ruskies , for those who like their action from the volga to the return match in berlin

The guys with the yellow stripes on their hats are called Voltigeurs so if you're asking for more of them I'm with you redman! And as for the ruskies well then you are really opening up the whole Borodino gig then aren't you!! Good to see you guys are finally starting to embrace the whole Napoleonic thing!! :D:D

Check the poll my friend, the fave is loud and clear:D!

Naps are good don't get me wrong, but they are a support act:eek::D!!

Rob,

I think we'll see some WWI cavalry units, such as the lighthorse. Also Andy mentioned German Navy, so I'm thinking Kriegsmarine. I think some more waffen SS that will go with Market Garden. Thats my Nostradamus act for today.:D

Hey Jim,

Yes it will be interesting to see whats next for WW1.I also wonder if we may get some D Day Brits, seeing as some of those have been retired lately.

Rob

In the pre Chicago K&C UK TV Film with Andy & Gordon, on the Market Garden Hotel Dio there is a Char B tank. As these were converted by the Germans and used as flame tanks maybe this is at the back of Andy's mind. I know he said no new Germans but he always keeps his options open.

Now Robert. Polls as we all know are always rigged. And as for Naps being a support act!! I need not remind you how much the Napoleonic era changed the way we all live even today. It ranged a full 25 years! 25 years I say again!! What did that palfry grubby little affair your lot call wubbleya wubbleya 2 ever provide other than misery, division, and the atomic bomb?

Now the Napoleonic era, thats a whole different kettle of fish. It gave us the unlocking of the Egyptian Hieroglyphics (Napoleons soldiers found the Rosetta Stone), it gave the French democracy, it gave the rest of us a dislike for the French! It made the French into lovers not fighters cos they've never won a war since (thats a good thing cos war is over-rated anyway). It gave us Beef Wellington (and other Pommy culinary delights!) and it gave the grenadier guards the right to wear furry hats to keep them warm in winter while guarding her-in-doors (many of them would have caught cold without those hats). It had a senes of class - quote: "In a battle the main purpose of cavalry is to provide a degree of style and elegance to what might otherwise descend into an unseemly brawl...". I mean, how good is that!!

At the end of the Napoleonic period, everyone agreed that "that was that" and was allowed to dust off and go home (except Napoleon but then at least he was still alive). Since the end of WWII, we all distrust each other, aim big rockets at each other and scrabble in the dust to pay off mortgages for the rest of our lives (not all doom and gloom I must admit). But I dare say I would sorely miss the last days of chivalry if I had been fortunate enough to live in them.

Side act indeed sir!

Ok thats my bit for now. :D

I'm guessing King&country to discontinue all German ww2 lines and then discount all other lines on a special buy one get one free basis:D I think more Germans on the way, maybe Arnhem,or field of battle Germans, plenty of action poses, maybe some more Russian Armour IS2, ISU-152 Heavy Assault Gun,doubt the latter though as the Russians seem to be a slow seller:confused:

:D:D Kiwi, A superb post old fruit!.(no pun intended!)I stand chastised!!.

I must point out good sir that one teeny weeny thing WW2 provided was freedom from Nazism, which has got to be a good thing!

If truth be known one of the most glorious sights is surely the British cavalry charging across Waterloo dismembering Napoleons best to left and right...ah the Romance of it!.Only to be bettered by the British army standing up from the field of Waterloo and unleasing hell in the shape of accurate disciplined rifle fire into Napoleons best!:D

Seriously though if i had Donald trumps credit card i'd collect Naps at the drop of a hat, however as a huge (enthusiasm and weight)student of WW1/2 they are my biggest interest.Oh for the money i deserve,i'd probably collect Naps,Egypt,Crusaders as well.

Perhaps Naps is not my fave because when i visited that glorious battlefield of Waterloo the long climb to the top of the memorial nearly killed me!!!;)

But after Monty,Bomber Harris, Angus Young and Kelly Brook,Wellington is one of my faveourite famous Brits.:D

Rob

All kidding aside, I confidently predict FOB German Wermacht in 2008. Why? Cos almost all the Blitz Jerries have now been retired, thats why.
Oh, and a figurine depicting Kelly Brook would be supercallyfragilisticexpee-allydocious........!!!

Cheers

Could be Harry.I wonder which we are likely to get though,FOB Germans or Arnhem Germans?.

Rob,
Arnhem Jerries are quite well covered by the existing WS sets.....but there's virtually no Wermacht early war or Barabarossa to be had anymore.

Cheers

I thought this too. However there seems to be a growing call around here for Germans specifically for Arnhem.Barbarossa would be great, but would Andy retire just about all of them to do them all again. However any new Germans would be cool so we couldn't lose!.

Rob,
Responding to your question which I've made BOLD in ITALICS; Maybe the reason why they've been retired is exactly so they can be done all over again. We now have action poses for the Brits and Frogs in FOB, what could be more logical than to provide action posed Hun opposition?

Cheers
H

Oops didn't mean to call them Frogs - they're the heroic FRENCH army of course.
