Kate Moss
Samantha Fox
Linda Lusardi
Katie Price
Yon Lassie that reads the news on BBC
Kate Jackson....okay, a Yank, but bonnie enough to have Scottish ancestors
The lush lady who's name I can't remember who used to be in "Upstairs, Downstairs" - Rob help me on this one - and I'm not talking about Rose who was played by Jean Marsh.
Patsy from "Absolutely Fabulous"
The Lassie who streaked on live tv.....Erica Rowe, I think it was
Yon Lassie Campbell

And as far as horses are concerned; Hercules from "Steptoe and Son".
All right, we weren't discussing horses (apart possibly from Katie Price, otherwise known as Jordan), but just thought I'd slip that one in. :D:D
BTW, to our UK members, is Jordan still married to Peter Andre or has she gained a brain cell or two and divorced him yet?

Lesley Ann Down?;)

Hi Brad,

I do not think anything has been removed from this thread. I believe Harry's post is a reaction to Gustavflyer's earlier posting. I am interpreting Gustavflyer's remark to be a question regarding how the the thread evolved into its current topic of discussion. It is amazing, isn't it, how some of these threads take on a life unlike its original intent? :D

Warmest personal regards,

Pat ;)

I think that is pretty offensive thing to say especially as my uncle was in Greece in the RAF and a lot of his friends died supporting Greece. A lot of British forces (army, navy, airforce, special services etc.) supported Greece well before the USA entered the war and in fact at a time that maybe we should have been supporting ourselves!

Some reading for your interest ....

If you also Strategos just go into Google and type in key words of British war support in Greece, 1941 you will find tens of thousands of articles on it!

I think it is my fault for sending this thread astray and I have not continued to rant as I have not been on often due to the holidays that I am enjoying with my family.

It does seem to have moved on since my original post and I was purely asking the Greek gentleman STRATEGOS to step up to the plate and be counted for his absurd accusations of stating that the British never helped Greece in WW2. This chappie has not responded to date but I still await both his answer and appologises for his ludicrous statement.

Whilst it is true that we have "borrowed" the "Elgin Marbles" from the facade of the Parthenon (maybe this is his gripe); it is NOT true that we had no input into the war in Greece as both my original statement and link shows.

If I could play the Devil's Advocate for a bit I guess the Brits, Aussies, Kiwi's etc did sort of leave the Greeks in the poo, but sometimes it's best to cut your losses in war. That said I feel Strategos should consider the fact that a number of British Commonwealth servicemen died defending his country :(

It certainly pays to look at the bigger picture of the war at the time, however calloused that may sound.

It seems to me that the British did what they realistically could for Greece.
