I like to do simple temporary dioramas that I set up in small mirror-backed display cases. I have a case for winter and another for the desert, my 2 favorite themes. Here is my latest winter dio using Honour Bound ski troops and one of their chow line figures. I'm hoping Santa will bring some of those new John Jenkins Battle on Snowshoes figures for my next effort.

Randy, congrats on a really nice dio and picture.

Thanks Panda. I'm trying to learn Photoshop Elements and how to get the picture to fit the file size of the forum. Here is a slightly larger image try:
Do you have any tips to easily get to 97.7KB and get a good size image?

Nope,
They've dominated the TV watching the X-factor.
Can't believe they're growing up to have as little taste as me.

Well you need to tell Santa that you want your own telly or on the bright side it gives you more time to play with your soldiers.:)

Randy it's nice to see that you've started to post photos, what you may want to consider is joining photobucket at www.photobucket.com and using it for posting your photos they provided alot of options and Lt. Fish has provided a source of information as to how to post photos to the forum using photobucket look at the monster he created at this end. Looking forward to what else you have in store for us......Joe (aka) The Lt.

Randy:

Nice winter shot. It's simple (that's a good thing) but effective in displaying the winter theme. Keep the pictures coming. Yes, desert diorama shots would be nice to see from you.

Randy, sorry so slow on this, no I don't. Lt recommended photoshop but my pics are too big, I have to shrink them using the camera's own programme. I have a canon slr that has a programme - took some figuring out but that allows you to edit size.

I am sure you have found that it is a bit of a shame we can't post the full size as a lot of impact is lost. Love the dios you have been posting, it is great.

Randy,
What an excellent little diorama.
I would recommend Photoshop as per the Lt's post. You can upload up to around 1.5Meg photo's (maybe more, but I haven't tried anything bigger). After your upload you can edit and resize them. I tend to go for 800x600 as this seems to fit well in the forum posts. Please give it a try.
Cheers

Thanks Harry

I think I am finally mastering Photoshop. I am now using the save to web feature and that has helped. . Below are several more recent examples of my postings:

Nice photos.
I did of course mean Photobucket in my previous post, but Photoshop seems to be giving you good results anyway Randy. Looking forward to you posting many more.
