We have a limited supply of War of 1812 sets in our store at the moment and thought I should make the most of it with this display. I hope you all enjoy!

My favourite toy soldier series! Thanks for sharing your work!

Brendan

I wholeheartedly agree with this being a favorite series. It's a shame that the series is on the back burner, but I feel like with Jenkins quality as of late these would sell very well!

I agree 100%.
I have a nice collection of War of 1812 with the USCH sets / BCH sets and the 1812 Marines. There are some glaring holes in the series (no British officers .. :redface2: for example). I keep hoping for a JJ Club figure or one or two here or there ... but alas ..:redface2:

John had mentioned in the past that this series was not so popular, yet I see that many items were sold out.
I know that some collectors used the British for their Waterloo dioramas.
The War of 1812 was always of interest to me but mainstream American collectors seem to skip from the AWI right to the ACW.
Perhaps a club figure or short run might be possible.

Yeah it's funny how overlooked this conflict seems to be, especially with how interesting it can be with the fact that war really didn't achieve too much.

Hey Larry,

Have you never seen the officers he created for the BCH series? There's one set with an officer and drummer that would work pretty well I believe.

Yes, if you mean BCH-07. I think I have two sets ..:rolleyes2:.
However I think that they are the only ones.

The USCH has USCH-10 (officer and drummer) -- USCH-11 (mounted office) -- and JJCLUB 2011B (Mounted ADC FRIST LT. WILLIAM JENKINS) and JJCLUB-SET#11 Captain Nathan Towson

The US 1812 Marines have 1812M-01 US Marine Corps Officer

Chippewa was not a well know battle to many folks … if you don't study the War of 1812. IN fact few people know any thing about that war.

EXCEPT: Most know or have heard about Andrew Jackson and the Battle of New Orleans. I wonder if John did that battle it would have been a huge success? ^&confuse

The U.S. Army never lost a battle in Canada in 1814.The U.S. Militia fought alongside with honor throughout.

Hey Larry!

Yep that’s the one I was referring too, I just didn’t want you to feel left out if you didn’t get it yet.

Yeah it definitely would have been interesting for the Battle of New Orleans and a great story as well, especially since it happened after the treaty was signed! But nonetheless it would have been a great battle to see as well.

That's definitely debatable. The US Army withdrew after fighting to a draw at Lundy's Lane, although not pursued by the British.

Indeed Sir,they withdrew on their own volition, they were not pushed off.The British/Canadian contingent had no desire for another banzaii up that hill in the dead of night.
