Speaking of WW1 Americans - 369th US Harlem Hellcats in their US uniforms and French borrowed equipment would make an interesting set of soldiers to display besides US Marines at Belleau Wood..:(:(

Now if we are talking Nations in action in WW1 i'd love the following

English-First day of the Somme
Aussies-Passchendaele
Canadians-Vimy ridge
South Africans-Delville (Devil) wood
French-Verdun
Oh i suppose i'd better stop then.....any of the above would be cool though!;)

Rob

Nice list Rob! That would make a nice balanced collection.

Agreed CS & Rob, its a great list, but some figures from the Middle East, Dardanelles and African conflicts would make it a magnificent list.
And then again, where do you stop?:confused::eek::p:p

Yes some Anzacs,Brits,Turks in Gallipoli would be cool. However i'm only thinking out loud, not calling for Andy to make all these!:)Am loving the latest Scots to be released.

I agree with your lists 100% Rob. Excellent choices. :D

Thank you CS,Harry and Jim.I'm sure Andy will get round to making some of these in the future.Thats whats so exciting about this new range, theres a whole war to cover yet!!:)

Exactly. :D I guess I'll be waiting a while yet for the Lighthorse.

I'm tempted to dip my toe into the new WW1 Scots this Saturday, but i hear a Desert Stug calling me!;)

Rob

If K&C offer a Lighthorse (and Turks) range in future, then I'm lost....!!!
Here's hoping.
:):):):):)
Henri-La-Tete

Well, buckle your seatbelts mate, because Andy has made mention of the Lighthorse and I don't think it was idle speculation.:D

If we get Gallipoli figures i may be tempted into my first dio,it would be worth it!

Rob

I have this foolish idea of somehow creating a rugged Hillside type of thing with dugouts, very Gallipoli.Mind you i'd also love to do a' First day on the Somme' dio too.Listen to me wittering on,havn't even bought any of the figures yet!:)

As the japs said in i think ,tora tora tora -we have awakened a sleeping
giant . I dont think a company producing matte figures has realy hit
this one out of the park yet . It is still just scratching the surface imo
until someone comes out with an" i,ve got to have that" i,m realy sitting
on the fence on this range . The new scots look good , but had they been
more iconic scots in kilts i,d have been sunk .[britains have done the new
black watch but their running figures just dont look right to me ,i,m not
trying to be overly critical its just my opinion from photos i,ve seen].
I,m probably looking forward to future releases in this range more than any other .

I hear what your saying Rob.Its difficult to stay your hand when you want to start collecting. With Britains figures improving and rumours of Toy Army workshop starting up again there is slowly growing a wider market. As for me i suspect when isee the Scots in London tommorow i'm sunk-or my credit card is to be precise. That Tony Neville has a lot to answer for with his great Dio's!!:D

Hi Rob

I,m off to see one of Englands favourite sons tommorow night ,
Beckham and the LA Galaxy versus the mighty Wellington Phoenix .
Gotta say the guy handles himself with real class considering all the
caffufle around him.
Back to the deadly serious buisness of historically acurate military
miniatures .Your a lucky man seeing all this stuff first hand ,im
not only staying my hand i,m sitting on it and when ever it reaches
for the credit card i,m hitting it with a blunt object :).
I just know with this range thiers going to be a home run just around
the corner and i,m doing my level best to wait for it.
cheers Rob

:D:D

I like the blunt object idea Rob,though i fear my wife may wield it!!:D;)

I think you are right about this WW1 range..sooner or later. WOW!!!

Its a shame D.Beckham is no longer as young as he was, thought he was a good Captain for England.Mind you a manager might be useful to start with!

Cheers

But, but, but......we're nice people really. A bit hairy granted, but nice as long as we're not annoyed by self-opinionated individuals from DU.
PS. Although perceived attitudes would suggest that I must HATE David Beckham, I actually have a lot of admiration for the man himself and what he's achieved in his career. I honestly hope that you lot find yourselves a good manager.
Berti Volgts anyone....?????? He's presently ruining the Nigeria team.
