Favorite WWII N. Africa Vehicle (1 Viewer)

I always appreciate vehicles with different color schemes and always liked K&C's Morris. I opted for the captured DAK version but like the British version just as well, esp. with the grey camo color scheme.

K&C pictured the British version (x2) in this most excellent diorama. I said this before, but the image has always provided me a lot of inspiration for my own desert village scenes.

I have the DAK Panzer II and I consider it one of K&C's best pieces. The DAK 10.5 CM gun and 5 man crew is also excellent. K&C has made the most extensive DAK line over many years IMO.

I'm old school. I like Andy's first forays into the desert back in the mid-to-late 1990's. My favorites are the metal SAS Desert Jeeps (SAS001 and SAS002) released in July, 1997, the resin Long Range Desert Group Chevy 30 cwt. Truck, the desert version of the wood Bren Gun carrier and the desert version of the wood Quad Gun & Limber, all released in March, 1998. They all appear on this small modular desert diorama made by King & Country:

What a fantastic selection of posts and photos! Thankyou Guys. Congrats to one and all.
As you can see K&C has produced more 'Desert War' figures and fighting vehicles than the rest of the hobby put together...and we ain't finished yet.

Thanks Pauck. It's part of a much larger entertainment center.

That is a TCS Tiger and Steyr. Good eye. I have since loaded with all K&C N. Africa pieces.

I really appreciate each piece and some, like the Tunisian Tiger, was hard to obtain. The truth is that I like so many and as Andy mentioned, K&C has offered many wonderful pieces over the years.

I like the Tunisian Tiger as well, the crew is sculpted in very realistic poses.







Now if I can just get that one bloke off the Tiger, I would have a great scale photo shot of the capture of the first Tiger I ever caught by the Allies!

I was really thrilled when K&C released a 2nd/3rd version of the LRDG 30 cwt Chevy. The camo color scheme is superb!
