:) Hello Andy! Not to Dis-Respect K & C; but possible giving you and Idea which may be Reasonable and Less Costly; to K&C and Collector's; in making ARMOR, and Vehicles? Well here goes: I have spoke with a Company Called Toyeast, in China! They Produce R/C and NON-R/CARMOR! But, there size are mostly 1/24/-1/25th Scale! I have Purchased 4-Tiger Tanks, from them and they're AWESOME! Tracks Rotate Turret Rotates and ZIMMERIT is on these Tanks! I would like to show you Photo's , and hopefully put them on the Forum Site? They are selling for $50.00US! and Comes Packed, in a Separate Carton along with 3-OIL Barrels and 2-4-Gas Jerry Cans! This is ALL Built from Factory and NO-Kits! Because of Today's Economy Problems; I would think that K & C would go into this Direction and NOT-Making Polystone anymore? Only if this is Very Economical for K & C ? And for the Collector's, these are made of (HEAVY PLASTIC and Metal )! I Personnaly like ARMOR that MOVES Realistically, Rather than a Solid Structure that looks Nice, but Not Functional! I think this would be a GREAT step for K & C and World Collectors! CIAO!

John,
If this is true, then I really look forward to seeing the photos.

Best Regards
H

Would be good to see pictures. However i am not sure Andy will move away from Polystone.

ToyEast is a web retailer and wholesaler based in Hong Kong. They are not the manufacturer of the Tiger, which can be seen at the following ToyEast link: http://www.toyeast.com/v3/pdtdetail.asp?pdt_id=A02105585.

The Tiger is assembled from diecast metal and injection plastic parts. I am not sure about the cost of diecast metal molds, but injection plastic molds for a vehicle cost around $100,000. The manufacturer has to produce tens of thousands of units to recoup its investment. As a result, using these types of technologies is not cost effective for relatively small producers like K&C and Figarti.:(

Hi Guys,

Re John’s latest about the way forward for K&C...Why don’t I just retire and hand over K&C to John’s capable hands? After all he’s got hundreds (maybe thousands) of great ideas and he’s already, talking to companies in China!

I really must stop playing at running a toy soldier/military miniature company and hand over reins to the real experts. I think this would be a great move for the hobby...and the industry...CIAO baby!

Best seasonal wishes and happy Christmas collecting!

Witch four have you got m8 ?
The mid production tiger looks the best , but is it out yet ?

Absolutely fantastic suggestions there from John - again!

How about adding a red flashing light at the end of the barrel and some realistic action 'BANG' noises via a hidden speaker? We could also have the tank commander figure shouting 'Sieg Heil' for more added realism - this voice may need to change for Allied tanks although maybe nobody would notice.

Only my 2 cents worth.

It's a shame that Andy's first post back from the road is focused towards JG's newest scheme to improve the industry. I'd like to hear Andy's comments on many many many other threads.

I think a little battery operated speaker shouting out Sieg Heil and Die Britisher swinehond would be cool.:):)

Since new managment is at helm should be a rebranding to KING & CIAO, expect output to dramatically increase :D

Andy, I see you as the sort of retirement home resident that has to be watched because you will pinch the nurses backsides! After your retirement I can send you e-mails about not having enough rivets in your wheelchair or that you are eating the wrong color of oatmeal for a Scot of your era!

I wonder what their first release will be? Perhaps a 1/24 plastic Tiger tank with special effects followed closely by a more traditional 1/30 set of four shirtless Italian soldiers manhandling a Semovente.

Louis will have to add a few extra volumes to his book on the rebirth to King & Ciao, I forecast weekly and midweek dispatches and all variety of materials being used, should be good:D

Do they look right next to K&C soldiers

No, those plastic Tigers at 1/24 scale would be way to large for K & C 1/30 figures. A better idea would be to buy the new Desert Tiger, get em while you can
