In the Time of the Pharaohs...Ancient Egypt... (1 Viewer)

As a matter of interest Mike, what is the take on the new standing guard? Was there something that you did not like about the sculpt that has prompted you not to purchase. I plan to get a couple eventually. Robin.

Excellent stuff Mike, one of my core series getting the treatment. So colourful and full of interest, really delighted, Andy has again revived this wonderful series. Awaiting more photos please. Robin.

thanks Robin...I know you collect this series...your pictures are an inspiration to me and you are welcome to post them here...

A series I have never dived into but have always enjoyed seeing from others post. An excellent diorama Mike.

thanks Joe...like Robin...I have followed this from the beginning and it is one of my core collections also...

Looks great Mike! You can add your buildings and make an entire city!
Egyptian collectors must be so pumped about the new sets and things surely to come.

Joe

thanks Joe...like most long term collectors on here...space is an issue for displaying in a large diorama...

Robin...I do like the new ones with the cowhide shield...but I didn't get any...I have quite a few of the original with the red scarab beetle on them...my Pharaoh is well protected...but I may get 6-8 of the new ones in the future...^&grin

Hey Mike,
This is great! AE was the first series I started collecting. I regret not buying more.
My favorite has to be the mummy wrapping with the canopic jars!

Your use of the desert buildings has got me thinking about changes to the shop displays {sm3}

Thanks for sharing!

Best from San Antonio,

Amber Martinez-Garcia...etc...etc...etc:)

I just got AE63...66...68...76 and 78...

Looks great Mike! You've amassed a wonderful collection here and those scenic accessories really give off a good feel for how hard those Egyptians worked in building those pyramids.

Mike,

I will be in Galveston right before Thanksgiving for the night before we go on a cruise to Honduras. I would love to see your dios in person.

John...
cool!
sounds like a fun trip...
let me know when you're arriving...
would love to see you...
we can have dinner too if you have time...

Nice additions Mike, I was surprised by the weight of the blocks as well.
I'm Interested to see what shows up at Chicago for this range.

Chuck

Wonderful Mike, you are doing justice to this colourful series. Covering the bases is a nice touch. To think there is more to come in AE is exciting also. These pyramids will take a lot of man power, so you can never have too much.^&grin, Robin.

Mike well done, going to go off on the AE tangent myself and have invested in some moulds and hopefully come up with something along these lines...….

Wayne...that is definitely not a del Prado piece...this is the piece I was thinking of...

I have the Hirst Arts Egypt mold...
it will help you creating this...
but not on the columns...

I made these with the Hirst Arts mold...
it's a good mold...
it has a lot of hieroglyphic's blocks...
and some smooth sand stones blocks...
