I haven't noticed a best of thread for 2007 so thought i'd start one with my own opinions.
I mainly only collect K&C WW2 so that's all in my list but feel free to chuck in any other suggestions.

Best German Vehicle

1. DAK Tiger ( late entry but straight in at the top)
2. German T34
3. Opel Blitz Lorry

Best German Figures

1. The Fallschirmjager set (not everybody's favourite but they were just the era I was particularly interested in.)

2. The 5 man tank crew. (I especially like the guy with the tool box.)

3. The 4 Gebirgsjagers with skis and snowshoes from th recent Bulge releases. ( I don't have these but I've seen them in real life and they are awesome)

Best Allied Vehicle

1. The LRDG chevvy camouflaged version. (top quality item this one. The band of blue paint brings the whole thing to life somehow.)

2. The Arnhem para jeep with trailer ( I don't have it but if i had some money it'd be proudly on display!)

3.The US M12 motorised gun. ( I don't have this one either but the detail on it is amazing. It seems a bit undersized somehow compared to it's accompanying figures but still a good piece.)

Best Allied Figures

1. The Field of Battle British troops in action. ( Definitely my favourites of the year, especially put up against the K&C FJs. The Sergeant kneeling with his machine gun and shouting orders is one of the best figures ever IMO)

2. The Arnhem British paras. Advance to Attack 3 figure set. (I had most of the patrol figures for Christmas and It's fair to say that they are far better in real life than in the photos. The sculpts and facial expressions are excellent. Top quality painting too. Hard to fault.)

3. Any of the recent US Bulge figures. Some of K&C's best ever sculpts. You can almost feel the cold yourself. If i collected these though I would be bankrupt.

There's probably loads of good stuff i've forgotten!

My picks:

Best KC vehicle - German T34

Best KC figure set - WWI Christmas Truce

Favourite vehicle has to be the Tiger but saw the M5 tractor in Hong Kong and it was impressive including the figures. Haven't got yet but on my list.
Favourite figures- found myself buying into crusaders and saracens (on the last day of the year in timemachine, singapore! ) , so would have to say "gruesome trophy" , and also really liked the "german cossack" club figure which I got (after Dely ran my name thru the K&C mainframe to check my collector club credentials.:) and I thought Australian Immigration authorities were tough). Joking aside Dely was great and I really enjoyed my trip to K&C in pacific place.

for me are the Operation Market Garden is the best of 2007
and the Battle of the Bulge Allies .
i don't collect World War I and American Civil War but the models are great to !!! :):D:cool:

The entire set of British Paras. Looking forward to adding to this set in 2008.

Fave vehicle is easily the Tunisian Tiger with the Arnhem jeep second. Also notable mention for the Opel Blitz, great model.

Figures, well this for me is a little more difficult.Arnhem,SAS/LRDG,are all superb as are the latest Bulge sets. However over all i'd pick the four or five single figs that make up the Arnhem patrol.Wonderful figures and also the Crimean figs, stunning.

Favorites for 2007

1) Charge of the Light Brigade

2) Market Garden

The Crimean War range from K&C UK are just the most magnificent figures that you could ask for.......I would imagine that this years releases will be as well.

My overall favorites are the new warbirds. My favorite vehicles are the LRDG Chevys for the allies, and the RSO for the Axis. My favorite new figures are the Arnhem range and the Battle of the Bulge releases, as well as the new crusaders/saracens.

Market Garden take pride of place, with FJs running a close second.

Ok....what better way than to show you my TWO favorite sets of 2007! If you cant tell I am very happy with my new camera!

Timemachine, Singapore..??
Do you have a physical address RH.....Like, where in Singapore is it? In addition, do you know their website address?

Best regards
H

RH,
I ran a google search. Raffles Bvrd? Yes? If so I'll find it no bother.
My visa run will be next week. I'd prefer Hong Kong for very obvious reasons, but if I'm sent to Singapore for a couple of days I'll likely be staying on Orchard Road and at least this'll offer an alternative to Pacific Place in HK.
Dely's great isn't she. So's Ruby.....extremely helpful ladies.
Cheers
H

Hi Harry
the address is
Timemachine Studio
#01-88 Millenia Walk,
No. 9 Raffles Boulevard,
Singapore

Much smaller selection of K&C than HK, but definetly worth a look for the other stuff they have as well, a lot of those 1/6 figures, they even had a remote controlled russian tank
Took a couple of pictures and will post when I get a bit of time
happy new year

Thanks for that.
Think I'm supposed to be travelling on Wednesday. So I'll see if I can persuade the powers that be to send me to HK. If not, then like I say, this'll be a good alternative as I know where Raffles Boulevard is. The visa run will also give me a chance to stock up on some new books. I'm rapidly running out......but I do have those Victor, Hotspur and Battle Christmas albums I left in Bangkok to fall back on.

Happy New Year to you too RH.
