Re: battle for arnhem....

Thanks Guys: Of course I went nuts messing with this today. Nothing went right. I super glued my fingers after breaking a tank and a Bulge figure. I got in trouble for wasting the day and the last straw was I put my dinner on a stove burner that was left on and it exploded. No dinner and big clean-up. Never seen that happen before. The plate was set down on burner for a second because there was a d... diorama on the kitchen counter. Think I will go to bed.:( John

John,
Sounds like a heck of a day. But.

Tanks and figures can be mended. They can be repainted.
Fingers can be unstuck.
Wasting the day? From the evidence presented, I think not.
Getting in trouble with the wife - tomorrow is a new day.
Dinner exploding on the stove burner - it's good to see something new in life.
Cleaning up the mess - part of the daily chores my friend.
No dinner - consider it a rest from the seasons food binging.
Dioramas on the kitchen counter - what else should there be on the kitchen counter, if not dioramas?

Those photos will be on this forum for others viewing pleasure for far longer than any other minor daily mishap.

Thank you for your sacrifice, it's a great shot.

Simon

Re: battle for arnhem....

Thanks Simon: I got the idea from those nice backdrops you posted. I still got more to learn. Things quieted down on the front. Guess I will make it another day and she is still talking to me about dioramas. Guess she accepted the fact things don't change much. John

Sorry about a heck of a tough day, but the photos came out spectacular! And a bad day with toy soldiers beats the heck out of a good day at the office.

Re: battle for arnhem....

Thanks Fish and Louis: An exploding Leadmen:eek: I like that! I am retired but I still get into trouble without leaving the house. I also have "mad cow" after the surgery last Feb. :p John

Re: battle for arnhem....

I really like the look of this Stug for this dio because all of the hatches are open. It really looks like the crew bailed out of a damaged tank and left it on the street.

Re: battle for arnhem....

The South Staffs were still trying to reach the Bridge at Arnhem.............

IMG_2616red1.jpg

they were involved in heavy fighting with 1st Brigade of the Parachute Regiment against increasingly tough resistance as the Germans mobilised forces............
