I thought we should have a discussion on the Crusader line and what everyone thought of the last releases and what might be coming up for all of us ! :D

I think that the last releases were setting a stage for some exciting new diorama figures set - like the catapult - what do you guys think ??

I love this series. I haven't added to my collection for a while, but just watched the directors cut of "Kingdom Of Heaven" and now I need to complete the whole series. I need more siege towers ! and some JR Miniatures castle wall sections.

Not really a fan of that era of medieval history. The figures are superb though and very exciting. I like the catapult- may consider buying it later on to perhaps use with the Romans if I cant' find a suitable alternative.

A question to you guys that collect this range- do you feel that they look dirty enough?? Let's face it, Crusaders in white, fighting in the desert, bound to get dirty.

The Templars are nice, but we need some treasures / relics for them to bring back home...

And ofcourse a lot more differten siege weapons...

Chris-

I have 3 of the crusaders and 3 Saracens and I think the knights look about right as far as dirt. There is mud on every white surface - not so much to look overdone - but a nice covering especially where one would expect to find it. The Saracens, being much more fashion conscious as well as civilized, don't show the dirt quite as much since their clothing is more in line with the color of the mud and dirt. Some of the other figures may be more or less dingy but rather well done on the few I have thus far.

We need TEMPLARS!!!!!!

Motion seconded! And some Hospitallers and Teutonic Knights too! I was disappointed in the second series a few months ago because it hardly had any figures from these warrior monk orders, and for those that did sort of look like Templars (MK049, MK052), the cross is not right for them to my knowledge.

As for the Saracens, I don't know why K&C made three figures with crossbows but none with regular bows, and especially horse archers.

But overall I think this series is some of the best work K&C does. I think the level of grime on them is perfectly fine the way it is - since they're in the desert, there's not much moisture or mud so it's much harder to get really dirty.
