I think anyone who is collecting for profit, is wasting their time. Think about it, the only ones who care about these little soldiers, is us. Collect them because you enjoy them, and they make you happy. Never get so caught up in this HOBBY, were it becomes a drug. Always put your family first, these are just little pieces of painted metal. Collect with the thought, if I lost it all tomorrow, big deal, it's only material things. Their is a lot of truth in that article, maybe exaggerated, who knows.
