Tasmania landings (1 Viewer)

Great service from my friends at TG. I paid for my order on Monday, dispatched straight away and arrived Friday morning in Tasmania. Nobody could do better than that!. Great value Panzer III, stylish but gritty German mortar team on the move and a couple of Boer War Scottish infantry NCO's to pad out the ranks. I also got one of the large display boards to try them out. Again a success and certainly helps display the new additions well.

Roll on the next release!

Very envious of your delivery speeds. I have 3 items dispatched mid April in USA, still waiting. From China at least 6 weeks is the go. The trick is to have so many in the pipeline, that way something turns up regularly. Currently have ten items that I am waiting for. Obviously I am located off the beaten track, unlike Tasmania. As a side note, enjoyed your Zulu article in the latest Toy Soldier magazine. Robin.

Thanks Robin. I do enjoy writing articles for toy soldier magazines. Yes the TG delivery was the quickest yet. Tassie takes a day longer as if I lived in Sydney or Melbourne it would have arrived unbelievably on Thursday.

I hope your acquisitions turn up soon.

Great photos, as usual.
How do you feel the TM officer works with the TG highlanders? I didn’t buy the TG officer vignette ( I don’t really like multi figures on a single base) and I need an officer.

TM figures are slightly smaller but I am ok to mix and match as humans are not all the same size. I feel TM and TG blend well together but that's just my personal view.

Thanks mate, do you think the TM officers Tartan works with the TG. That was my main concern.

Just a small parcel of Thomas Gunn goodies came in this week. There was definitely tension in the Tuetoburg Forest with some chunky Romans. The first of the French Indochina figures was released and this range should go well with some K&C VC figures while there were some slightly smaller scale Zulu warriors with stolen rifles from the hands of dead British redcoats. Hopefully these will be a good fit with my William Britain Zulus back in New Zealand.

And now there is the latest release from Thomas Gunn to pay for and get shipped. Looking forward to the Caesar and Cleopatra figures as well as completing the Japanese surrender set.

Well shipping to Tassie was double quick this time with a few figures arriving Friday. I really like the Caesar & Cleopatra set, I do whish TG would do more Egyptian stuff. I got a couple of useful German tank riders while completing the Japanese surrender as the sun sets on the Imperial Empire was rewarding.

Now roll on the next releases!

Well you will be getting your wish Gary, under the thread, ‘the meeting’, TG announced they are doing another Egyptian Princess and a snake charmer. Robin.
