Just received my copy of the UK K & C Collectors Club and it has information about the Thin Red Line, including a sketch by Andy. I will try to post info tonight, including a scan of the sketch, but if anyone wants to jump in with details, please do.

Tony,

I thought it strange....as a while ago you said they were due out, I expect mine is in the bag. I will give you a ring on Monday/Tuesday if it hasn't turned up. Is the Club Voucher included as well?

Thanks

Jeff

Jeff and Tony,

It seems that odd that I would get it before you do. I didn't get a voucher. Will that be coming separately?

If you read the packet I believe it states that the vouchers will be mailed seperately.

In my defense, shabby though it may be , I picked up the mail late last night and didn't look through it. I then opened it this morning before leaving and just quickly leafed through it before heading out. Not much of a defense I know.

Brad no..........not much of opne really hey!

Scott your mum and you are down as customers so you get two from our system!!! only ones set of vouchers though!!!! sorry

Here's Andy's sketch of a Highlander Officer with Sword.

Loking forward to seeing the unpainted masters of these figures in London next month.(Like the new Avatar Brad!;))

Rob

Thanks Rob. It's a Hurricane Mk. IIc, and has the markings of Hurricane Mk1 P3878 'YB-W', the aircraft of Flying Officer Harold Bird-Wilson of No 17 Squadron during the Battle of Britain.

I took it from this great web site, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight

Too bad it didn't come out bigger, but here's a better photo,

Brad

Its my dream to fly in one of those or a Spitfire!

The noise, the lines, the speed........woooossshhhhh

Evertime i see a fly over i get goosebumps and to be honest i have a tear nearly everytime.

One of my wifes older clients husband is one of the last Battle of Britain group survivors he tells some great stories and he is still very dapper with his handle bar moustache and his blue blazer! he walks up right and his hand shake nearly breaks my hand every time i see him. He is in his late 70s now as he was only 18 at the time he flew!

when the origionial warbirds were out i gave him one and he nearly cried and said " there she is"

That was a very very wonderful thing you did for a very very deserving man. Great gift Tony! Generosity and open heartedness like this is why I love the people involved in this hobby!!!

Amen to that. It might be a nice gesture if one of new Andy's Spitfires or Hurricanes could be donated to Battle of Britain museums.
