Has anybody ever seen a model of General Baden-Powell the founder of the Boy Scout movement?

Either in his military uniform like at the siege of Mafeking or at a later date when he was Chief Scout of the World?

Thanks.

Ian Scout.

I painted these 2 figures for a local collector, and they are supposed to be Col Robert Baden Powell in South Africa.

I think that someone has done conversion and then a recast of a Stadden figure on the left but I don't know about the one on the right.

I pained them to look like BP and so the guy was very pleased.

As a work around you could get a carting of a Boer War British Officer, and exchange the head for a US Montana hat head, or a Canadian Mountie.

Hope that helps?

Charles Stadden made an 80mm model figure but its been long retired, maybe try searching in UK for one there?

Many thanks for this picture. I appreciate the info also. It looks as if the model was made from a genuine photo. I have a complete BP uniform and wear it when I do BP presentations at Boy Scout functions. I also have a large collection of literature about him and also some of the stamps that were issued in Mafeking during the famous siege that show his head. I have also met several members of the Baden-Powell family.

Regards. Ian Scout.
