They were due for a loss but still should have won that game. Maybe a wake up call like the loss to Michigan last year. With Ohio State's defense, they can beat anyone in the playoffs. Georgia and Ohio St are head and shoulders better than anyone else. Texas Tech might be able to upset...
You have a bunch of Martha's Vineyard's historians that have to spin a yarn that suits the desired narrative. They are not going to touch the real story. It has nothing to do with democracy or all men being created equal. The American story is about the acquisition of wealth. For good or...
My predicts:
Ohio St. 27 Indiana 10 - Another pretender bites the dust.
Georgia 31 Bama 23 - Unfair to have to beat a good team twice. No NC at the end of the rainbow, though, for the Dawgs.
Duke 30 UVA 27 - The Blue Devils shock the world but no one cares.
Texas Tech 38 BYU 10 - TT is...
Reading about the Kennedy family criticizing RFK Jr for his extramarital affairs and encouraging his wife to leave him. LOL. Anyone remember the conduct of JFK, Teddy, and RFK? That is like Willy Wonka warning about the dangers of eating candy.
USC finally had a #1 recruiting class. Not sure what the issue has been over the last several years. When they get pounded by teams like Oregon, half the players on the Ducks are from California. No excuse to allow that. Apparently USC figured out the NIL and other issues. Hopefully a good...
Just pointing out that in football everyone is in win now mode. There is no plan for five years down the road unless a team is a dumpster fire because almost every player will be injured or otherwise gone by then. Some young players get better. Many get worse as they are banged around. I'd...
I have to admit that I watch it. The coverage is unintentionally entertaining. I particularly like when some reporter is playing it up like the end of times and they cut to the live scene where not a single flake of snow is falling, and old ladies are out walking their dogs.
The future is always now in football. One injury and a career is over regardless of age. Some QBs get better and some regress over their career. I'll take Stafford and the Rams chances over the Pats this year. The only game that matters is the next one.
The relentless snow coverage. I say it every year but it just gets worse. The Weather Channel is breathlessly covering snow in Chicago. As though that has never happened before. And the same tired guidance to slow down on the roads or stay home. No one would have thought of that on their own.
That's exactly what TCU, James Madison, and Virginia say in college football. Great record. Bring on Ohio St. The Pats get a hungry Bills team next week and then the Ravens.
It's the holidays. So time for delivery guy stories. I have an outside security camera. I get up this morning to see that some "deliver guy" in his own car pulled into the driveway some time well after dark last night. He rolled down his window and chucked the package frisbee style in the...
The classic trap game for the Rams today. On the east coast, in a freakish monsoon, with the opposing team playing for their playoff survival. Bryce Young - who I haven't seen or heard from since being drafted - played like Joe Montana. Meanwhile the Seachickens are destroying the Vikes. The...
So great to see Lame Kiffin turn his back on his team and have to be escorted to the airport with the fans booing him all the way. I'm sure the LSU players are lining up to play for a standup guy like that. Just ask the fans at USC and TN what a great guy he is. If a guy leaves everyone he...
