You're right in that it was becoming all consuming, balancing it with my full time job, so I took early retirement last September to devote myself full time to the 3d printing business :-) Still too busy with it so my wife is now taking early retirement next month to help me with it :-)
I only tend to bring the airbrush out on vehicles. Buildings and terrain are always by hand. It’s just a fair few years (30+) of trying out different techniques and palette combinations. Lots of trial and error and then sticking with what works. Lots of careful dry brushing, stippling and...
From memory that one is from a different sculptor to the other original buildings so there’s a good chance you wont have seen it before. I’ve managed to collect a number of new Roman themed files to add to my existing ones and this was one of the new ones if I remember right.
It does bring a lot of possibilities that aren't otherwise possible. I saw a post on here somewhere yesterday where someone asked if a company (can't remember which) had considered producing Wild West facades and I simply thought "That's exactly what 3d printing can produce for you." I know it's...
Have you looked at wargaming mats / battle mats online? There are a few companies out there who make them specifically for naval games. This is one that Deep Cut produce. They're not cheap though and there are other companies out there offering similar wargaming mats that are definitely cheaper...

A commission for a new overseas client. 54mm scale this time. Some modifications made to the 3d model for his specifications to make sure that it was open backed for access, that the bunker area could accommodate the height of his figures and also that the main roof was sufficiently recessed so...
Forgot to post images of this one. It's big!! :-) Loved the way this one turned out and my first time doing it in this scale. A representation of Plancenoit Church from the Battle of Waterloo. I would say I put the cat in it for scale, but unfortunately she simply wouldn't move out of the shot...
You may be surprised, but it was a fraction of the price of the Collectors Showcase version :-) Admittedly their quality is obviously far superior to this 3d print but that's that's the trade off I suppose. Doing it this way does allow people to access models that may otherwise be out of their...
Was asked by a long time and valued customer some time ago now if I could get hold of a decent German u-boot file. Managed to get hold of a couple of files in the end and ended up digitally kitbashing the files together to create this. We had to agree some sacrifices in proportions and detail to...
