    Imperial Miniatures Updates

It has been a long time since I've posted an update as I've been really busy with a lot of orders (some quite big). Things have slowed down slightly, so I have managed to get some new releases out and listed. The new Dorset Soldiers releases are: A151 Crescent Nurse kneeling A152 WW2 nurse...

TS &MF magazine acquired by Guideline

I was charged for an advert in issue 250 and as far as I know it appeared as a digital only issue. I cancelled my advertising at that point as I hadn't been told it wsa digital only and I was paying for a physical and digital advret and not receiving what I had been charged for. To be fair...

Plastic Warrior covering plastic soldiers is still published as well. It is something we are seeing in other hobbies as magazine content moves online and things you would have read about in a magazine are now on blogs or youtube... I still think you can't beat a glossily printed magazine... Mike

Curious what collectors see in Glossy figures

True - though some of us still take them out into the garden for games...

I am sure they will honour the subscription - they have taken over a number of magazines and always taken on the subscriptions when they did so - such as Model Farmer... Guideline seem a decent company. Mike

TS &MF magazine acquired by Guideline

They have now announced the new format of the magazine which will be one 100 page magazine incorporating both titles. It will be edited by Stuart Hennessy - the editor of TS&MF. I think that is really good news and I'm looking forward to the new magazine.

Actually, quite a lot of us collect them to play with (along with plastic 54mm) - 54mm wargaming is still popular. https://littlewarsrevisited.boards.net/

Curious what collectors see in Glossy figures

I am not hold enough to have had Britain's as a kid and I started playing Little Wars in 1974 with Plastic Airfix Napoleonics. Although I am a wargamer and have a large collection of matt varnished 20-25mm wargames figures, I have never seen the appeal of 54mm Matte Toy Soldiers. For me, they...

    UK + Continental Europe VAT

The new VAT rules don't affect sales to countries outside the EU. If a supplier is VAT registered they can remove the VAT before shipping it to you, and then you pay any local taxes when the package arrives as before Jan 1st. Mike

TS &MF magazine acquired by Guideline

I understand from the castings reviewer Gary Haines, who has stepped down, that there was to be a new editor of TSC anyway, not sure who though... I guess it will be announced in the new issue. I think TS&MF suffered from going digital - I pulled my advertising after the second digital only...
