  • Thanks for my birthday picture Randy. I figured you would submit a picture for me. I was not disappointed. I have it set as my desktop picture. :D
Randy, thank you very, very much for your information. I hope, that we will see a lot of JJD sudan figures. Additionally I woud like to see a lot of K&C sons of empire ! All the best Marcus
Hi Randy, hope all is well ? I was at the London toy soldier show and it was brilliant. I believe, I have seen one photo from you comparing two different British soldiers with skyblue shirt and khaki trousers, (24th foot ?). One of them should be created from JJD ? Have you any information for me about this item please ? is it an upcoming release from the new Sudan range ? I never saw british foots of the sudan campaign made by JJD. Any information would be a great help. Best regards and a fine pre christams time for you Marcus

Hi Randy, I am always impressed by your deep knowledge. Your profession I would have prefered (I am just a barrister). Will you ever fly over to the London toy soldier show? Would be a great pleasure for me to meeting you. Maybe once I would like to fly to the Chicago show.Did you visit this show ? My WMHocker-sets I mixed with Tradition and the K&C getty, you can see it on my glossy album. I know, that my pics are terrible compared to yours...Finally I would like to know, what do you think about the new K&C collectors club figure Madras officer ? warmest regards and have a nice weekend Marcus
"RANDY", lol..........Enjoyed the chat and catching up.......your work just gets better and better......thanks for the tips on the books to read.
Hi Randy, thanks for your fantastic new threads with your pics-it is a great pleasure to watch and a great inspiration. This week I am extremely buissy because of our big toy soldier show in Germany. What do you think about the new K&C collectors club figure ? I love it !!!!!!!
Hi Randy, thank you very much for your answer and esp. for your friendship request. I am very proud to have you on my friend list and to be on yours. If you ever would like to visit Germany and one of our toy shows here, just let me know!:) I will try to visit the London show in December - may be we can meet each other there? Would be great. :DConcerning Wm.Hocker, I still have no figures but in August is my next birthday... so I will have the chance to get my favorites: sets 117 and 118. Very best regars Marcus
Hi Randy, today I discovered your old thread "victorians at leisure" with your wonderful superb calendar. Wow ! I was so delighted to see these pics - can you tell me please: what are the sets of January and November, please? Wm Hocker ? I didn t find them under the Hocker-Sets Army at Ease. Best regards Marcus
Hi Randy, I would like to know if in your opinion the W.Hocker Bandstand-Set matches also with Nr. 118 (India) instead of 117 (home) ?
Unbelievable albums, wonderful. Concerning W.Hocker, it is more interesting to watch your albums than even the website of W.Hocker itself. Congratulations and best regards from Germany Marcus
HI Randy unfortunately that figure has been retired from the BMSS collection, there are 2 others on the site HRH Sir Perab Singh Bahadur and A 13th bengal lancer kettle drummer both ypou can see on mty albums, the kits are £17.50 a piece, for something like that I would charge for assembly and painting £35.00 Gbp plus shipping.

    Regards John
    Randy,
The westcoaster was a very good time. Saw several small manufacturers you might like (Edmund's traditional toy soldiers and Stephen Dietz) Hocker did not arrive until the day before the show. The set I was interested in ( 10th Hussars) sold before I visited Bill Hocker. I did buy a set of Australian Lancers. Bill is a very pleasant and interesting individual. both my wife and I enjoyed talking with him. Unfortunately I did not bring a camera to the show.
