Groundwork is pretty much done. This weekend we'll add the water.

Time to pour the ditch. We start by masking to try to keep static grass from falling into the resin.











Mix resin and hardener and some green paint to give the water an algae color



Pour





Break the surface tension of the resin



Bubbles slowly come out of the resin

The vapors from the resin stripped the paint off our culvert pipes so some touchup is in order. We also had a few stray bubbles that didn't make it out of the resin.

We built ceiling racks and the remaining boards that are flat enough stand vertically against the wall.

Thank you all for the kind comments. This year's project took a tad longer but I'm happy with the result. I suspect this will be useful for some Kursk scenes I have in mind. Stay tuned.

Moved the new dio up to the photography room. I'll setup a scene this coming week.

By enlarging the photo to take out all the external elements, wow I can now see this dio is so realistic. Also I can envisage so many possibilities for adding figures and vehicles. Brilliant Frank. Robin.
