Something that John Jenkins said about Troy being one of his favorite series. got me thinking what my favorite one is. Here is mine and I must say that I got quite a bit of help and support from John when I was collecting it. Mine is the Jacobite Rebellion, and I agree that Jon is amazingly helpful and supportive of his collectors. I am proud to count him as a friend, and among his many generous gifts to me over the years is this diorama base, which he made for the launch of the series:

Terrific scene Louis. It must be the massed uniforms that is so captivating. Greg.
Thank you, but all the credit goes to Jon! I also love his Knights of the Sky series, and his armor, but there is something about the Jacobite Rebellion that fascinates me! On a trip to Scotland two summers ago, I bought myself this Highland Dirk made in 1740 so old enough to have been part of the rebellion:

Here are some photos of Jon at my home, giving me one of my favorite pieces, the prototype of his remarkable StuG:

I have never met John but I did have some correspondence with him with emails and he was very generous in procurring some figures and crew. The thing i like about Battle on the Plains of Abraham, Quebec series is the different and colorful uniforms the expressions on the faces and the poses of the figures. I also find the history of the period fascinating and with both generals being fatally wounded, how the battle turned out. I do remember the late Brett Williams talked of John frequently. Greg.

I agree, brilliant armour models, sometimes I wish it was dirtier though.
