This Durbar Elephant just sold for $575. My guess is that the original list price was higher. I can always ask Ron.

I have this version and another or else I would have been bidding, superb set and wonderful work. IF my memory serves, Ron charged me about that (maybe $550) moons ago to buy it.

This one had NO box

Do you think it would be safe to ship with no box??? Andy

Yes. Anything can be shipped safely if carefully packed.
I have found over the years that boxes are more important with some manufacturers than others. Somerset boxes typically were always very generic in some respect. My original elephants came in plain boxes wrapped by Ron. There was nothing special on those. Larger Russian pieces like chariots, elephants, etc came in very generic boxes. It is all about the packing.

Regarding this item, it is a good seller who is shipping, and I am sure it will be well paced and shipped fine.

There are some things that are hard to ship and Tom knows what I’m talking about. Yes, some boxes are important as they are designed specifically for that piece. Some of the items I’ve purchased from Attica have come packed terrifically well. Lots of layers as to make it damage proof.
