Last week I was able to clear a 35-inch shelf and start giving some thoughts as to "what's next" for display. I decided to create a Desert Village display that could be used for my current interests of Discovering Tutankhamun as well as Professor Jones and the Lost Ark. So the chase/search was on since I had never collected the K&C Desert Village buildings until very recently. I was able to quickly find SP031 The Gateway as well as SP036 The Wall (thank you Julie), both of which were delivered Monday. Today another SP036 Wall section was delivered. As luck would have it, last night I acquired SP033 The Stables (thanks again to Julie) with expected delivery on Monday. Considering that I did not have much to start with, this shelf display is coming together quickly.

Yes, lots of potential for dioramas, story telling scenes and dramas here Mike.
Forget about, all the World's a stage, here all is in miniature with every shelf telling a story and being your very own theatre in which to tell !

I can't believe my luck in finding these long retired Desert Village buildings. This morning I acquired SP034, The Village Watch Tower as well as SP067, The New Village Shop House. Thanks again to Julie and the TF consignment offerings.

Karma, Mike !👍🏻

That’s great Mike! I’m afraid my shelves are overflowing, trying to figure out how to manage them better-lol

Thanks Mike. My method of managing shelf space for new interests is by selling the old. This also generates a nice cash flow that I use to purchase new acquisitions.

SP033 Desert Village Stables arrived this afternoon. SP034 The Watch Tower as well as SP067 The New Village Shop House also arrived. My shelf space won't accommodate all three pieces but the Stables fit nicely. Although I'm not going to be able to use the other two buildings right away, I'm still glad I collected them. Both are great looking pieces.

Looking fantastic Mike. I'm looking forward to seeing when you can accommodate all of the desert buildings together. Paul

Thank you very much Paul. I'm working on some ideas on how I'm going to use the other two buildings. However, it may require the use of another shelf.

Always annoying when you have an idea, but the shelf won’t cooperate. Many a time I have been stumped as the item is too large. Eventually I am sure you will work out way to use these buildings Mike, as they make for great backdrops. Robin.

Rearranged an existing shelf that had the Village House, the Manger, and the Village Compound Walls on it. This made room for the New Village House Shop. Still working on incorporating the Village Watch Tower. This will require raising the height of a shelf in order to get the 13.5" clearance that's required.

Very nice Mike, one can easily imagine being in such a setting, and the Indy figure looks ready to continue his adventure.
