I've always thought it a bit sad to see warships that were fought so courageously during WWII ending up as scrap, particularly the USS Enterprise. Interestingly, the US Navy brought freighters out of the mothball fleet and used them during the two wars with Iraq.

Sad too that Chinese scrap merchants steal sunken WW2 Warships that are designated War graves, to turn a quick yuan.
