This diorama represents the Old Guard assault on the village, French infantry in support on their left, a cavalry charge on Prussian squares on their right.

Last view shots....................the farmhouse is a 3D print from Direwolf Scenics, he did a great job on it as he does with all of his 3D prints, he painted it as well.

George another fun project which is all neatly designed. The buildings certainly add to the spectacle. I would be inclined to plant an out of character piece to see if anyone can spot it, a sort of Where’s Wally, just to ensure everyone is viewing every frame😀. As usual your layouts are amazing. Robin.

Thanks Robin; I made the mistake of posting these images on a Facebook page dedicated Napoleonic War wargaming, here's one of the comments;

"That looks nothing like the battlefield at Ligny"........

"Thanks for your comments; I promise to do better next time"..............is it accurate? No. Are all the French cavalry units correct? No.

I based this on an account I viewed on YouTube; Napoleon threw his Guard infantry into the action to take the village, French infantry supported the attack on their left, cavalry assaulted Prussian squares on their right.

So there you go.

Thanks again for the kind words.

I hate ‘rivet counters’, it is all about enjoyment of collecting and displaying and what you see works for you. Always looking forward to seeing what you come up with George. Robin.

We love it George. Looks like fun! Very accurate as far as we can tell.
Happy Holidays!
