Yes, similar books on a similar subject, I have read them all when I had completed SHARPE.Enjoy, it is a great read. Similar great read, but in a way opposite to Sharpe, are the Adrian Goldworthy books, these are about Gentleman soldiers who fight in the ranks, as cannot afford to purchase a Commission.

I really enjoy historical fiction and especially the Napoleonic era and stories on both sides of the conflict.

Yes, I've read some of those, Iain Gale's 'adventures' of Keane were good and I really enjoyed the Alain Lausard Adventures Series by Richard Howard because it delt with the pre-Napoleonic era and the Egyptian Campaign of 1799 and early battles after Napoleon came to power as Emperor.Cheers,

Also enjoy Roman, 100 year war and Saxon/Viking historical fiction. WW2 as well, but seems to be thin on the ground compared to other eras. I have a fondness for the L'Amour. L and Gilman. G [and other writers] of the 'Wild West' writen in the 1960s and 1970s, reading 8 to 10a year, well written and 'tight' in their writing and great characters. Also Vietnam novels, 365 Days by Glaiser had me hooked many years ago and also liked The Glory Hole and FNG, read 3 or 4 a year Vietnam novels, like them as they are from guys who served at the sharpe end.
