New Imperial Miniatures / Dorset Model Soldiers Website (1 Viewer)

Hi,

The Dorset list of sets on your web page does not have pictures of the sets, any chance of these being also added so that we can see the finished model before buying one?
Cheers

THe new combined Imperial Miniatures and Dorset Model Soldiers website is now live.

Still need to add some of the Dorset painted sets but the full casting list can now be ordered online.

Hi

The painted set pages show the original Dorset catalogue pages (if you click on the categories on the left).

The castings have no pictures as adding 4000+ pictures is going to take some time!

thanks

Hi...

I have done that and was able to see what you ment as catalogue pictures....But even using a 24" screen the sets are too small to allow a good view of the details....any chance of good pics next to each item on the regular price listing?
Cheers

Unfortunately I am working with what existed when I took over Dorset which means that there are no decent pictures of the painted sets in a large enough size for a modern website or I would use them...

I would love to have a decent picture for every set and eventually I hope to, but that will take time to achieve.

Thanks

Mike

Are you by any chance from New Zealand? Are you the new owner of the former Imperial Productions?

I wrote askijng if he had come from New Zealand BECAUSE.....Imperial were a strictly NZ affair...guess what? he NEVER EVER REPLIED .....IS THIS THE KAPUT MAN FROM FLUERBAIX WHO SOLD US A LOAD OF RUBBISH IN FRANCE AND THEN HE VANISHED ? JUST DISSAPPEARED WITHOUT TRACE??? IF ME AND MY WIFE CONTINUE TO GET IGNORED THEN WE BECOME SURE IT IS MR FLEUR BAIX KAPUTNIOK (and watch out if you order !!!!!!

To set this record straight. The owner of Dorset and Imperial Miniatures UK (Was originally known as Solders of the Queen by Derek Cross) has nothing, ZERO, nothing to do with the Fleubaix mess. They are NO way related in anyway.

Imperial Miniatures UK was originally owned by Black Cat Minatures (28mm) who bought out Derek Cross's estate for the Soldiers of the Queen line. He established the combined name of Imperial. Subsequent he sold to another group, who at the same time bought out Giles Brown (Dorset's original owner) and combined all under Imperial Miniatures UK.

Regarding the New Zealand Imperial Miniatures operation, that is a completely separate group who are continuing to produce those soldiers. They also have ZERO to do with Fleubaix or any of that stuff.

The facebook site is running fine, it appears their website has an issue.

Please quit throwing mud in the wrong direction, none of these makers have anything to do with Fleuxbaix.

I have recently been dealing with Antony of Imperial Miniatures, a UK company, and he is also the owner of Dorset Soldiers, after buying them from Giles Brown.
I was wanting spare arms to complete some castings, and he had exactly the goods I needed in the Dorset range.

The other Imperial soldiers are a New Zealand company called 'Imperial Productions' and have been making a wonderful range of glossy figures for many years but on their website they say "We are currently travelling overseas for a year or two, so Imperial is taking a break. We will see you again when we return and re-open for orders. Orders for all sets are now closed."

I must also strongly agree with Tom's comments,

John
