Duchy of Tuscany Kettledrummer (1 Viewer)

Hi Louis,

My figures are phenomenal for the length of time it takes to make them. hahaha.

I keep seeing improvements that I would like to add here and there.

Here is the resculpted mane.

I dug out these five tomes on italian uniforms during the post-napoleonic to pre-italian unification period. Beautifully illustrated books which contain a trove of unfamiliar uniforms. I am planning to make several figures from these references.

Decided to sculpt the rest of the details. As mentioned before, when I was in Spain and visited their military museums, many of these heraldric devices were beautifully embroidered.

Final painting on the piping and lace for this figure. Awaiting the addition of a sword and the banners for completion.

Finally completed this piece. A rather complex conversion and sculpt but I do get a most unique figure in an unusual uniform.
Also broadened my knowledge on niche history.

Hi John,

Yes it is. I selected a parade uniform for this unusual kettledrummer and the highlight features were the banners.
