I just received the new JJD “Porsche Turret” l Tiger tank (GA-54) model and it’s a beauty! As usual John has delivered a first rate annd accurate model. Personally, I love the addition of the zimmerit paste!

My display is based on historical photos of this tank sitting abandoned amongst some denuded trees and fallen branches in the Normandy region near Caen, during Operation Goodwood in July 1944. There are obviously a few differences between my display and the historical photos (namely my inclusion of the Heer Panzergrenadier figures from First Legion) but I feel like I definitely achieved a similar look.

Enjoy 😊

Great looking display, Wayne! I like your use of the War Park figures in your tank as well.

I was intent on using the First Legion TC012 Normandy Heer tank crew figures, but while the commander fit perfectly in his hatch, it was tricky to fit the other figure in the loader’s hatch. The “Porsche Turret” really was a lot narrower than the later Henschel turret! I may just switch them out…

Yeah that is the 1 of the brilliant parts about John's King is when you first get it you think it is a lot smaller than the other 2Kings he has made.
