  • Good morning Heinrich. Its great hearing from you. I didn't purchase any of the Crusaders at the OTSN show. Looked at them all though and they are the best Crusader figures K&C has ever done. I will be getting several of the sets in the upcoming months based on what I saw that appealed to me. For the moment I am concentrating on my Wm Britain Am Civil War collection which is all I purchased at the show.
Why thank you very much Heinrich. Now instead of living at work I can now start working to live. I will be going to the Chicago OTSN show in two weeks and I am hoping that the new K&C Templars will be available for purchase. If I get some of the new Crusader figures I will share some pictures with you and others. Thanks again for your kind thoughts.

Wonderful! I'm glad you like them. I shall look forward to your posts on the Forum!

Hope your item quickly passes through customs and you are enjoying it soon! I just picked up a CJB Model (my first) and it is coming from the UK....so I am in the same boat!

Hi thanks for your friends request, it was looking at your posts and albums that got me into the crusades, the monk is by Irregular Miniatures UK, the castings are good painted straight from the pack but I usually animate or modify them. The monk is straight painted no mods. The only thing with Irregular is they are a little smaller than true 54mm.

    Regards John
Hello Heinrich, so nice to hear from you as always. No I haven't gone completely Napoleonic nor have I lost interest in my Crusaders. I just got tired of waiting for K&C to come out with some new Crusader figues like camel mounted Saracen cavalry, English longbowmen, and of course more Templars. I have been busy just recently trying to collect the W. Britain Defense of Hougoumont figures before they are all gone - they get retired very quickly. Temporarily changed my avatar to an English Coldstream Guards sketch just to reflect my current collecting frenzy. I am sure in the fall when K&C release their new Crusader figures you will once again see my Templar avatar. By the way, your new Templar is very nice looking.

Just noticed the picture of the three templars you placed on the Cross & Crescent social page. Very nicely done. Sure wish K&C would release some new Crusader figures soon.

Thanks for the tips on how to proceed with my Pegaso figure. I think I'll paint him as a Templar brother sgt, in black with a red cross. Just got a connoisseur figure from Russia today in the mail. Got pictures of it in my new album.
Just finished looking at your updated album pictures. I really like the mounted Templar. Aero Art has a very similar one that I would llike to have but its very expensive. I just recently acquired a Pegaso 54-117 model of a Hospitlar Order of St. John knight. This will be my first one to build. Your pictures of the knights you have made from kits have given me the inspration to try one myself. Now that I have a kit I am not to sure how to proceed - still studying it. Anyway - nice album updates.
I just finished looking at your new album pictures Heinrich. Fabulous job. I like the Andre figure the best. Both look like they have waded through some serious gore. I've often though about buying kits and painting my own figures but I am concerned about how they would turn out. Are heralds difficult to paint or do they come as decals? Your red crosses on both figures are very nicely done. I am not sure if I could do that if they had to be hand painted. Once again, great job. Cheers.
Just thought I would drop you a short note to tell you how much I enjoyed teh pictures of yout Templar collection shown in your Album. I am starting to branch out from K&C to expand my Templars with St. Petersburg figures - great detail but at a price, can only afford a few a year. Mike
