Mastercomm is correct about the wrong unit markings on the FL winter M10… It’s an annoying mistake, particularly on an expensive premium/best-of-the-best type of model, but it’s not the worst error out there… For me, that “worst error” award goes to the upside down stowed tracks part on the FL...
Jagdpanther, here are some pics of my W. Britain M5 AT gun. I just got the “Battle for Germany” (non-winter) set and add-ons. It’s a great model and the add-on crew and accessories are a great touch. I’ve had mine out on display since February 2023, so it’s clearly a set I like 😉
Thanks for the very kind compliments, Rob 😃
King and Country’s Vietnam line of figures and vehicles is certainly well done and one of the best and most complete Vietnam War lines available among the different manufacturers… I do like the wide-angle rearward pic you posted above and it’s probably...
Barkmann, yeah, I’ve got quite a bit out on display… My house has turned into a miniature military museum of sorts, lol! But when I put the money down for an expensive and high quality model, or I make a good display/diorama with something, I want to enjoy it!
Awesome and very dramatic photos, Issac! I feel like I’m right in the action… I got the full set of the new FL Kharkov figures recently as well and they look really nice! They really put the older War Perk figures to shame in terms of authenticity…. I’m working on a display for my figures and...
Thanks Barkmann! Those are some cool schemes for a future Triebflügel too. This model did sell out quickly, but I know it’s a popular “Luft ‘46” type aircraft. Per your earlier advice, I signed up for TGM’s Warbirds Newsletter as that was how I found out about the Triebflügel model in time to...
Thanks OzDigger and Rob for the kind comments 😊
Rob, the FW Triebflügel was a recent TGM wooden aircraft model release as part of their August Warbirds.
Historically, the Triebflügel was a concept aircraft being developed internally by Focke-Wulf and wasn’t appropriated by the Luftwaffe. It...
Wie eine Libelle, aber oho… (Like a dragonfly, but whoah…) Presenting a vignette with the new Focke-Wulf Triebflügel model from Thomas Gunn 😎
The model has the usual excellent level of craftsmanship, particularly the delicate landing wheels. The ramjet/propeller blade assembly rotates and the...
My thoughts exactly! I’ve got the few Iraq War figures and Humvee that Collectors Showcase made (which are great) however, K&C’s Blackhawk Down line is getting tough to resist!
I really like both these items and have both pre-ordered! While I can easily make realistic desert bases with dirt from my backyard (see attached pic of my vignette with the First Legion DAK Panzer III and a War Park T/C figure) the upcoming desert base does look excellent and very useful 😎
Thank you everyone for all the kind comments and likes on my diorama display with the K&C M48 tank. I really appreciate it and it’s this supportive attitude of so many collectors in this hobby that makes it all worthwhile. We have a good group of people here in the toy soldier hobby 😊
And hats...
Funny to see this post come back up over a year later, and thanks again for the kind comments, everyone! I still have this excellent model set up in a nearly identical display as pictured… The ME-262 is easily my favorite JJD WWII aircraft 😎
And Wayne, I do have the JJD P-51, too! I don’t have...
Beautiful scene, Mike! The FL Tiger looks amazing and is perfect for your scene. I missed the boat on the FL Normandy Tiger Tank, but am looking forward to the eventual War Park version…
Great pic of your War Park Puma in action, Mike! This Puma is one of my favorite War Park vehicles as I think they nailed the paint job and weathering on it. If there was a perfect paint scheme for an SdKfz 234/2 Puma, War Park’s paint job would be it, IMHO 😎
I recently got the K&C Vietnam War M48 tank, Mad Dogs/C44 version and I must say I’m quite impressed with it! Excellent paint work and attention to details. I like that it’s also an earlier M48A2 variant so it’s not an exact duplicate of the Collectors Showcase M48A3 tank (though I think the TCS...
