Hi Mike, those buildings are sensational... I have already experimented with the render over bricks with some exposed brick and have done a small ruined building for battle of the bulge layout... it is very time consuming but still very enjoyable... {sm4}

Yes there are a few bricks in the dock... and yes I made my own master mold (pinkysil) to speed up the process... but it still took time....{sm2} drying unassisted for demold was about an hour and...
Hi Mike, yep Hirst, the ultracal is quite good heaps stronger than the plaster, easy to work with. I usually use a mix of 1 part water to 2 parts ultracal. I will look into the hydrostone and see if I can get it here.

Hi Mr. Colt, most of the boxes, crates and drums are K&C, Verlinden or John Jenkins, the small dock crane is a verlinden resin kit and the small furnace building is a reality in scale resin kit, the rope coils I made myself. Everything else is basically scratch built. I did search the internet...
Hi Larry, yes all home made or scratch built. The little dock crane is a verlinden resin model. The blocks and stone buildings I cast from ultracal from some molds I had. The decking / planking is 3mm balsa wood with the leading edges sanded for effect and bolt holes added. I'll post some more...
