Nice observation, Rob! At first glance, that seated figure between the two women looks like the old SS061B figure, of which I’ve got several in my collection: However, in the TGM pic, I don’t see the bomb and the base looks different with the containers in front of the figure…

Awesome display, Rob! The TGM desert and the hard standing display mats blend together quite well in your diorama!

Mark, I’ll have to look into finding some sage wood (or something similar) for use for winter trees myself. I’ve used broken twigs for “war torn” trees in some of my dioramas. But the sage wood looks perfect in your scene!

Mark, I just saw this and your Erich Hartmann diorama is spectacular!! I love your snow effect and the real wood hard standing for the BF-109. The guard shack and RSO vehicle greatly add to the scene… You put a lot of work into making a very beautiful display 😎

Thanks Andanna! The crew figures came with the War Park Winter Nashorn vehicle, which is long retired… War Park does have some new winter tankers that fit well in the FL Jagdpanzer IV that are still available.

Thanks Robin, that’s what I was thinking! I was trying to go for a slushy effect with the snow melting. It’s basically filtered potting soil with snow powder mixed in.

While I wait for a replacement for my FL Hetzer, I decided to revisit my display with their Jagdpanzer IV L/48 model, moving it to a compact vignette display from the larger display it’s been in for nearly a year… I had my FL Panzer IVH on this same base for a while, in case it seems familiar...

Mike, I was thinking that may have been the WB Saxon cottage… It works very well for a Russian peasant hut! And your Hetzer is an amazing model. Great to see one looking like it should, both as an intact model and in a beautiful setting. I can’t wait to get a replacement for mine…

There is a 12x12 road/sidewalk section made by War Park that’s pretty nice and might work for you in a pinch, Mike. It doesn’t look as good as that H&A piece, but is still a good display base.

Yeah, the tracks felt like plastic instead of the rubber they’ve traditionally used. Also, you can see in my pics there was no piece of foam placed under the vehicle better tracks for additional support and cushioning… What you see in my pic of the box is what was there. Like sfarrelly...

I guess what I find interesting is that I’ve ordered some 17 FL vehicles and tanks over the last 6 years and this is the first time I’ve ever had this kind of quality control defect. That another collector (Stug) also has the exact same issue seems to indicate the issue could be more widespread…...
