Jason, yeah mate, they certainly are talented musicians, with a unique style.
Speaking of talented musicians, Jim Croce was one of the best, sadly died in a plane crash in 1973.
Jim Croce...Time In A Bottle
And of course some talented musicians don't receive the recognition they...
Yes Kev, it was mainly about the effects of that war on an Aussie Vet, being released 7 years after the majority of Aussie troops had left Vietnam. Not sure why Khe Sanh is featured as it was a US Marine controlled area, maybe to make the song more attractive to Americans as the band was trying...
Kev, I'm not surprised you haven't heard of Don Walker, same as the band he played in 'Cold Chisel'. They did not achieve success in the overseas market despite Cold Chisel being the most famous band in Australia, Cold Chisel are even more famous here than INXS and AC/DC etc. The band only...
Yeah, great groups Kev.
Don Walker wrote a lot of songs for the Aussie band Cold Chisel, the band covered the following song with Jimmy Barnes on vocals but for a change I'll use the version by Don Walker, with a Elvis Rockabilly angle.

Bad Company...I Feel Like Makin' Love
Speaking of 'believe it or not', who remembers that wacky TV show, but I've heard worse theme songs ;)

Some softer Blues/Rock tunes from my list:
John Mayer...Slow Dancing in a Burning...
Kev, others may differ, I would call that Blues/Rock.
Some Blues/Rock songs from my list:
Black Pistol Fire...Suffocation Blues
The Black Keys...I Got Mine
The White Stripes...Seven Nation Army
Kev, I hadn't heard of April Wine either and agree that they are a great band.
Reminiscing Country Songs.
Don Wlliams...Good Old Boys Like Me.
Tom Douglas with Miranda Lambert...The House that Built Me.
And another from Jimmy Buffet...The Captain and the Kid.
Kev, yeah that song is certainly 'original', was very popular and successful in 2010's. I have Copperhead Road on my play list, and iconic tune.
The following is not my type of music, more for school age girls, but these twin sisters from Brisbane, Queensland have maintained their early...
