The Battle of Normandy, 1944, in 20mm.........

WOW George, another impressive set-up, plenty to see there, late WW2 being my preference.

News Update August 4th, 2025 - WWII German Armor Special Pre-Order

Sorry to hear about the confirmed passing of Mitch, he had an impressive knowledge of WW2 military and a real talent for modeling, I had some minor forum scuffles with him but I rarely hold grudges. I had/have Double Pneumonia (plus heart issues) myself, makes you weak as a kitten, not sure how...

War Park New Release in August - "Green Devils" German Fallschirmjäger

As I said earlier, suspect there was very limited use originally, display types and reenactors have since embraced the fashion. That said, I would still buy the figures if in my collecting sphere.

It was mentioned last year, I'm not sure if it's definite. Perhaps someone can confirm.

WOW Victor, you're certainly achieving a lot of detail and depth in this project.

    Facades Wanted!

Steve, you have some terrific 3D printed buildings, shallow facade buildings are a great option, especially for those collectors with limited display space. I'm thinking of buying new commercial style cabinets with about 600 mm depth to allow more rear display space for buildings etc.

War Park New Release in August - "Green Devils" German Fallschirmjäger

Exactly, the mystery of the Blue Polka Doted scarves is one of the many interesting uniform details that stimulates my excitement of collecting Toy Soldiers. However, it looks like the cuffs of all the jackets are rolled up, who dose that?

    Bored Tonight...Post a Diorama, LOL

Louis, yes I recall the unprimed reasoning, a pity really as they made some impressive models. The only Figarti model I still have in my collection is a Japanese type 95 tank with bunker plus a few Waffen SS figures which are underated IMO as they had some great detail and camo painting.

    Bored Tonight...Post a Diorama, LOL

Great display of a fine aircraft, I used to have that set, sadly the Blue paint peeled off in patches, the fate of many Figarti models.

    Things that annoy me

Earthquakes! The 5.6 magnitude earthquake occured on Saturday morning at 9.50 am, the epicenter was about 100 kms North West of where I live. I was adding some new figures to a cabinet when it started to shake, I thought I had bumped the cabinet, but it kept shaking for 30 seconds or so. The...

War Park New Release in August - "Green Devils" German Fallschirmjäger

I like the look of these new WP FJ figures and the scarves aren't an issue for me, but not for me as I'm still concentrating on collecting Aussie based sets. However, I really enjoy 'forum discussions' about new releases, especially if there's some 'educated' opinion regarding accuracy etc...

A Scene on Morotai Island, April 1945

Great scene Tristan, I have those Three Aussies working on the Killer Caldwell version in my WW2 Pacific display. JJD issued some terrific sets, usually in limited numbers, I was lucky to recently get hold of a lot of old JJD sets from Two Aussie dealers, it's amazing what you can find if you...
