War Park New Release in August - "Green Devils" German Fallschirmjäger

Yeah Nah, that may be your and your Fathers experience Wayne. However there's plenty of photographic evidence that Australian soldiers serving in Vietnam sometimes did roll their sleeves up, on Patrol or Not, so K & C/Andy was correct. The following Australian War Memorial link provides some...

    Things that I really like

My limited knowledge of the new ebay rules suggests I would have to edit the postage exclusions for each listing, I presently have 87 for sale.

War Park New Release in August - "Green Devils" German Fallschirmjäger

Says the guy that doesn't like rolled up sleeves on toy soldiers 🤣🤣🤣 I remember the complaints about the turned up hats on the early TGM WW2 Diggers, didn't worry me too much, some things affect collectors more than others.

    Naked Gun

Most of the current woke issues is caused by the increased presence and influence of Females in all industries, they want to remove the issues that affect their Feminine Feelings. Good luck with that long term, IMO People, especially Children should be educated in How to Cope with Issues in...

    Naked Gun

Yeah mate, Hollywood has screwed most of the good old franchises, the new versions are poor woke imitations of classic cinema and pretty much why I rarely go to the cinema these days. The last movie I paid for at a cinema was 'Deadpool & Wolverine', which may say something about my level of...

War Park New Release in August - "Green Devils" German Fallschirmjäger

That's the first thing I noticed as different things (like scarves etc) really pop out to me, not that it would stop me buying the figures. King & Country have been putting scarves on their figures for years, especially their Afrika Korps sets, but the scarves on each figure usually vary in...

    Things that I really like

Yeah I would agree that turning 70 would be a major mile stone, I will be turning 67 in January next year which in Australia qualifies me for the Aged Pension, the extra money will be handy for travel etc.

    Bored Tonight...Post a Diorama, LOL

I recently acquired K & C USMC060 'Marine Officer with Camouflage Poncho', that's close to Duck Hunter camo I'd say, have displayed him next to the K & C Pacific Camo Sherman, looks great.

    Naked Gun

I loved the classic Naked Gun movies, haven't seen the new version but not surprised it doesn't measure up, typical of recycled franchise films these days.

War Park New Release in August - "Green Devils" German Fallschirmjäger

Woolen scarves are great for keeping warm, I have seen photos and film of several FJ troops in Europe with beige and similar light coloured scarves. I'm not sure what started the current Polka Dot trend, possibly based on that single photo or from erroneous book illustrations or reinactors etc.

War Park New Release in August - "Green Devils" German Fallschirmjäger

I assumed he meant that he had 'never seen scarves as part of a German uniform' rather than a specific colour mix. I don't know where the idea of the Blue and White polka dots on the above figures came from. There is a photo of a FJ with a Blue and White scarf but I don't think it was an...

War Park New Release in August - "Green Devils" German Fallschirmjäger

Scarfs were German army issue in tropical areas for protection against wind, sand and chaffing etc, some soldiers used custom colours for a variety of reasons.
