Amazing diorama.

Steve, to clarify my 'Nothing to see here' post. I gave up trying to work out how to complete an earlier post using the Quote Reply options, I decided to just make another post and left 'Nothing to see here' as my attempt at comedy :)

Personally I'm old school in most things, prefer figures in a diorama any day.

The model looks larger than 1/35 scale, and good enough accuracy for purpose. I think some of you artillery guys are sometimes OTT with your needs for accuracy, e.g. if required number of crew were made, the set would be too expensive.

I don't know what changed here as prices are pretty stable now but a few months back petrol could be under $1.70 one week then over $2.20 the next, up and down every week or so like a yo yo, it was like that for years. As for paying, still the same here, go into the shop and pay after pumping...

That is cheap Gas George, Petrol here is about AUD $1.75 per liter ATM which is cheaper than it has been, that converts to about USD $4.32 per gallon, I would guess it would be even more expensive in the UK.

Buyer Beware guys, Recasts and Remakes of Traditional Toy Soldiers remains an 'issue' in what is still basically a 'Cottage Industry', even the boxes can be easily reproduced these days. It's a bit like military uniforms and equipment, if it looks to good to be true, it probably isn't.

I remember when Maxime Chevallier started posting on Planet Figure, mostly photos of old glossy Toy Soldier sets that he said he had the legal rights to and intended to bring back into production. Despite the Free Advertising etc, the PF members were mostly supportive until Max went on a rant...

Dan, I'm looking forward to seeing your dio, personally I think some modellers put to many soldiers on tanks including on the engine intakes etc. IMO the most interesting Vietnam dioramas are those that include Vietcong tunnels or even just a tunnel entrance, adds some drama to the scene.

A very cool scene, and some handy display cabinets.

Thomas Gunn produced some similar model planes, could be an opportunity for them to make that aircraft, maybe with Pilot and German mechanic 😉
