    AWI044 British 22nd Foot NCO

I have tried to repair FL parts, like swords, rifles etc, but the metal is very brittle and i have trouble drilling it. My suggestion would be to replace the broken part of the spontoon with a new piece of wire. If it is the upper part, with the blade, I'd then trim the blade, drill it and...

Bygone Age Phaeton Carriage by Phoenix Model Developments

I'll be following this post too, and see how your carriage evolves. I have asembled and painted this set about 12 years ago, so here are pictures from that one, the local collector who I did it for, was very pleased :) John

    Victorian era carriage

Almost completed, I've finished painting the horses but still need to detail the brass fittings like buckles on the harness and the reins. I added the reins using plastic coated wire which meant I didn't need to paint them, they are flexible so can be easily moulded into shape and into the...

    Victorian era carriage

It's been a slow down last week, grandkids over for the school holidays, so my painting had to halt. I've now completed most of the construction, just the reins to go now, and then some finer details painted then all the matte areas given a glossy coat, so hopefully all competed this week. John

    Victorian era carriage

The grey primer is from a local hardware chain here in Australia (Bunnings), it was the cheapest they sell and works fine, but probably only available here in AUS. The harness from horses to carriage came with the kit, but I joined it to the horses using some very small nails (1mm panel pins)...

    Sneak peek

I hope that WARPARK is going to make an add-on set of gunners to make a full detachment, 7 gunners. They only have 3 loaders and an officer but need a layer, breech operator and the gun commander (NCO) to fire the gun. The officer isn't really needed on the gun platform. On Eastern Front John

This coming weekend I'll get on with the painting, now that it is undercoated and the harness organised. I've started on the figures first, then horse colours before detailing their harness. John

    The Atlantic Wall

Robin, How did the Germans manage to get that vehicle and the 2 guns into those gun positions on the wall? I didn't think they had helicopters in those days?? You may also need some cam-netting so the allies can't see them too! John
