First Legion and W. Britains WWII Figures are the same Scale!

We make both scales, as we realised there was a demand. The 1/32nd range is compatible with traditional sized figures such as our Reveille range or W. Britains regiments range. The 1/30th scale figures are compatible with both W. Britains and First Legion. If you'd like to p.m. Bruce he can...

Thinking of Adding FL's 12th Light Dragoons to Waterloo Diorama

No British heavy cavalry "standards" (square) or light cavalry "guidons" (swallow tailed) were carried during the Waterloo campaign. Martin

    Ducal Soldiers

Hackles are the rounded feathers from bird's neck (usually chicken) most other plumes use cut feathers. Other ranks of the regiments of foot guards wear...

    Working On Roman Collection

Unlike most film makers,(and southerners :)) don't make the mistake of thinking Hadrian's wall is also the Scottish border. There's an English county north of "The Wall" called Northumberland ! :) Martin

    WWI Paper Toy Soldiers??

I would say they were in American uniforms, dated just before or at the beginning of WW2. Every thing Mirof says is correct but during WW1 the US had a high closed collar. The American made version of the "Brody" helmet was worn up until 1941 Martin

The St. Georges cross is red and white, St. Andrews blue and white. So the original "Union" flag was red white and blue. ): Martin

WW1 Cavalry duel, now out in new finish

Al, you are absolutely right, Bruce based these on my original painting! I haven't a clue why I painted the wrong colour, I've got any amount of good reference. I think I'll just put it down to a "senior moment" :) I believe the stripe follows the tunic colour, so dark blue for cuirassiers...
