K&C used to mark their figures with the set number plus a letter. So you always knew what you were handling. **** shame they and other companies don't do that. They don't recognize the hassle.

You should have seen the bid activity on a Britians custom coronation figure I posted about a week ago. It was basically one of a kind and it went for one of a kind 1950's Britains money too. The new owner will very much enjoy that acquisition.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this looks very good. I've seen other Britains pieces from that time period in that dark olive drab color ad the way the paint lays on the metal looks absolutely legit. It would be a real undertaking to strip that down and re-do the paint to that standard.

I'm ready. Walnut, cherry, maple, sanding disks, food, beer... bring it on.

that series transcended what a tv series could ever be into something profoundly real. there are scenes in that series which the writers say was made up but that I witnessed right in front of me. So, there was a large element of truth to some of those stories and sub plots. Don't doubt that...
