    Airfix 1/32

I for one would love to see some more 1/32 FFL figures, perhaps an upsizing of the old Esci set.

    ACTA Brits?

Did he happen to mention if there were any other sets in the works or on the drawing boards?

    ACTA Brits?

Saw the other day that A Call to Arms released their British infantry of the '70s in 1/72 scale. Pretty good in my opinion. Anyone know if these will also be done in 1/32?

    3 Brazso Minutemen....

"Tried"? You're too modest - they're great! I especially like the yellow fellow's eyes - reminds me of period paintings I've seen. Huzzah!

    Down in the Delta

I picked up Tamiya's British stretcher party with the intent of customizing the figures and finally decided to work up a member of the Navy's "Junk Force" that saw action along the coastal areas of Vietnam. The figure I chose was the fellow at the foot of the stretcher, with his right arm...

    The end of the river

Thanks! I've wanted to work this up for a while - might try to convert some 1/35 scale guys too!

    The end of the river

"Walt Kurtz was one of the most outstanding officers this country has ever produced. He was brilliant and outstanding in every way, and he was a good man, too. Humanitarian man. Man of wit, of humor. He joined the Special Forces. And after that his ideas, methods have become unsound...unsound."

    Anyone remember the Hobby Box?

It was a Florida-based chain back in the '80s that had over 30 locations. Ours (located in Miami Lakes) was around for several years, although I can't remember exactly when it closed up. There was also one by my grandparent's in Sarasota that lasted a bit longer. Both stores were pretty big and...

    Does this diorama sound familiar?

A year or so ago I had been searching online for Vietnam dioramas and stumbled onto a number of pictures of a big, impressive river scene done up in either 1/35 or 1/32 scale. It depicted a dock along a river with a good number of figures and vehicles and two or three boats. From foliage to...

    Cunnyham's New Figure

They had stated it wasn't Civil War. The side pocket seems to point to 'Nam.

    Cunnyham's New Figure

Yes - I know they expressed interest about Vietnam before. Given their attention to detail and personalizing figures, this looks to be very promising.

    Cunnyham's New Figure

    Pardon the misspelling - Cunnyngham!

    Cunnyham's New Figure

Just got a post on my Facebook feed from their news page - they've sculpted some pants. Looking interesting!

    ACW Paints Question

Back then, butternut varied drastically in shade and actual color since there were no standards for it. I've used Testors light brown in the past.

    Israeli subject matter?

Academy's set isn't bad, but the heads were all the same and had a cartoonish quality about them (they reminded me of Popeye). Dragon's para's set is good. And you can also convert or modify other figures depending on the era and conflict. Keep in mind that Israel utilized gear and uniforms...

    MORE hat IN 1/32ND SCALE

    MORE hat IN 1/32ND SCALE

I'd like to see them upsize the Brunswick Lieb Infantry set.

What options are out there for modern troops?

The Esci sets Wraith mentioned are the NATO, Warsaw Pact and Spetsnaz troops. Good sculpting, but the Spetsnaz troops poses are pretty lifeless and similar. The other two sets have more variety in this regard, although they really cut back the selection from the original 1/72 sets - the NATO...

    Minutemen diorama

Great work! Here are some I did from A Call to Arms (American Maryland Infantry set) and Revell. (British AWI Infantry set). I found the sculpting detail to be good, especially with the ACTA set.
