YES, great to see them, different nations and guns, exchanging fire over the battlefields. BUT ..... I am quite disanointed by the poses that are being produced by most makers. Most of these depict a gun being loaded, and to give credit, some do have the breech open, so that's appropriate...

You are sure going to have 'fun' painting all that braid on the pelisse of all the troopers :) John

Love those details, look so realistic! I found this pic of the painting in the NSW Art Gallery in Sydney when I was there last year. As you can see the canvas is HUGE, lager that life ! John

Stadden figures have a tinplate base, these seem to be cast. ROSE Miniatures did make a mounted German Hussar from this period, so they could be the basic figures and horse, with the arms and instruments added as a conversion. This is my Garde Hussar Kettle Drummer by Tradition of London...

About 20 years ago I painted a set of castings made by Dorset Soldiers of the band of the Black Watch after their return from Iraq in 2003. The collector wanted that band in camouflage uniform which was what they wore on their return parade. I know that this is a pipe band but thought you'...

No, I didn't make the building, it was made by a local friend of mine who does some wonderful dioramas. He's a retired architect, so 'has the eye' for details and the skills of constructing building both miniature and 1:1 scale :) This another one he did for a WW1 scene showing the Signals...
