The glass shelves might be it. My wife has two curio cabinets in our living room with glass shelves (and even doors to enclosed them). The amount of dust on the shelves is quite noticeable and we have not had the cabinets as long as the shelves I use. My display room is even in our basement...

I really haven't experienced a great deal of dust build up on the shelves. I installed them a number of years ago and I really haven't had an issue with dust. Mike
